While Ricky was rehearsing The Voice and promoting the band's album during the week I would spend the days planning our trip to Rome and organising myself for the jobs I was doing when I got back. I hardly saw him during the week.

For one job I had to take casts of actresses torsos so that I could make pregnant bumps for a series about expectant mothers. Filming started in a few months but the team needed time to make them. All this baby related work was starting to make me broody to have kids with Ricky but I never told him about these feelings.

Each Friday and Saturday for the next two weeks we'd do the same thing as the first live show. On Friday me and Tibby would go to Ricky's place. We'd have an early night and then an early start the next morning. We'd got to the studio, wait around a bit, do the show then come home exhausted and fall into bed. We didn't have time to try making the baby I was suddenly wanting.

Maybe I could broach the subject while we were in Rome. I was really looking forward to our holiday. A week in Rome to eat good food and see some beautiful places. Until then I had work.

I got home one evening to find a letter from my landlord. I groaned as I read it. He was going to put my rent up £10 a month from next month. This was really going to drain my bank account. I had another six months left of my contract to stay there, that meant £60 on top of what I was paying already. I growled in anger and stuffed the letter in my handbag. I'd have to talk to him about this. I'd talk to Ricky about it too on Friday night.

I went over to Ricky's early that Friday with Tibby and started to cook dinner for him when he got back. About half an hour later I heard him come in.

"Honey I'm home!" he called in a silly voice.

I giggled and ran through to see him. He greeted me with open arms which I jumped into.

"I missed you too!" he laughed.

"I feel like I've hardly seen you lately." I told him in between kissing him all over his face.

"That's why I came home early! I wanted to come home to cuddle up my sexy girlfriend." he told me as he wandered blindly towards the kitchen with me still in his arms like a chimp.

When I felt the table under my bottom I let go of him slightly, still with my arms around his shoulders. We kissed the most passionately that we had in weeks. I was trying to show him how much I'd missed him.

"Don't kiss me like that when I can smell food. I can't choose which I'm more hungry for." he growled deeply.

I laughed and kissed him again before I let him go. We ate our dinner sat so close on the sofa that we were almost on top of each other. I was glad I had my hands full or I wouldn't have kept them off him.

"Isn't it ridiculous that I leave one job cose it's too tiring to go to another that needs so much forward planning that I'm just as exhausted?" I asked.

"A bit." he nodded. "At least you get evenings and weekends off now. Now that spring's on it's way we can spend evenings in the garden instead of shivering on the sofa."

"I might be able to feel my feet." I sighed. I almost always had cold feet and would sometimes wake him up in the right by accidentally nudging him with my icy feet.

"You could do with wearing some of your own wooly socks!" he laughed.

"Oh I am!" I grinned as I lifted a foot up to his eye level.
