....

We were awoken the next morning by a loud knocking at the door.

"Breakfast!" Mum called.

I cursed when I saw the time on the little clock on the bottom of the tv. I stumbled out of bed and grabbed a dressing gown from the bathroom. I cursed again when I saw our clothes scattered across the floor of the sitting room.

"Just a second mum!" I called through the door.

Ricky skidded past me, still stark naked, and scooped up an armful of clothes and ran into the bedroom with them. Well, that was quite a sight! I scooped up the remaining clothes and threw them on the bed. I took a deep breath before I opened the door to my mother.

"Hi mum." I greeted her, trying not to blush at the manic clean up of our passionate clothes flinging.

"Did you sleep in?" she asked, noting my ruffled appearance. I nodded. "Breakfast finishes soon. Hurry up!"

"Oh crumpets, I'll just throw some clothes on and go down." I said.

We both put some clothes on and I turned to the mirror to brush my hair. I couldn't really go downstairs with this crazy mess could I? I laughed as I saw my reflection. I hadn't taken my make up off properly and now looked like a panda.

"Why didn't you tell me I look ridiculous?" I asked Ricky as I gave my face a scrub with a make up wipe.

"I didn't see. Besides, you always look beautiful to me." he grinned.

"Ew, that's so cute it's disgusting!" I laughed.

After breakfast we went back upstairs to get dressed properly. I was in the shower washing my hair and enjoying the hot water running down my back when the shower curtain suddenly flung open. I screamed and covered myself the best I could. Ricky was naked and looking extremely angry.

"How dare you have a shower without me!" he growled.

I wasn't sure if he was genuinely angry or just being silly but I couldn't help giggling. He climbed in, still looking angry and gave my bum a slap.

"Are you really that annoyed?" I asked.

"I'm disappointed in you." he said in a serious tone then broke into a dazzling grin. "Of course I'm not angry darling. I just really like having a shower with you."

"I bet you do, you saucy man!" I laughed and wrapped my arms around his shoulders as we kissed.

We took longer in the shower than I thought we would. I couldn't complain. We were still catching up on what we'd missed while he was in America. We'd be running late for lunch at my sister in law's parents though. I was drying my hair when there was a knock on the door. Ricky went to answer it as he was still getting dressed.

"Put a top on. It might be my dad." I called after him. "If it's my mum don't put a top on, she'll like that!"

"That's a bit cheeky!" he laughed.

When I switched off the hairdryer I could hear Mike and Anja voices in the other room.

"Hello Mr and Mrs Swan!" I greeted them. "I won't be long. I'm just running a bit late."

"Does it have anything to do with Rick opening the door without a tshirt on?" Anja asked.

"No!" I laughed. "I'm not discussing that any way! Let me just slap on some slap and I'll be ready."

"You don't need any make up darling. You're beautiful just how you are." Ricky told me.

"Don't listen to him. He's only saying that cose he's your boyfriend." Mike laughed.

"Now that's the truth!" I laughed. "I'll be right back."

It turned out we were early and we had time to sit around and chat.

"Show mum your toe." Mike told Anja as we all sat in the hotel foyer. "I spent my wedding night pulling my wife's toenail off!"

"Oh no." I groaned. I hated feet. Something about feet creeped me out.

We drove to Anja's parents house nearby in two cars, me and Ricky with Anja and my brother with mum, dad and uncle Eddie. Her parents greeted us in Finnish, which I didn't understand but smiled and nodded. Anja's sister, Maija, greeted us too but in English.

"Mum is saying Welcome to our home!" she translated.

"Oh, thank you! I mean kiitos!" I smiled.

For lunch we had salmon, potatoes, salad and various yummy Finnish things that I wasn't sure what they were bit liked it anyway. I'd eaten more salmon in these few days in Finland than I had probably had all year. Luckily I loved it and was gladly eating it for at least two meals a day.

"If you eat any more salmon you'll turn into one." Ricky told me.

I stuck my tongue out at him in response.

That evening we went bowling at the hotel's bowling alley. I had trouble finding a ball light enough for me to lift. My dad laughed at me struggling with a neon pink ball knowing I'd only chosen it for it's colour.

"You need to go for comfort over style." he laughed. "You're not managing very well with that."

"I'm not managing very well with these shoes either!" I gasped as I nearly slipped over.

These borrowed shoes from the bowling alley had almost no grip on the floor. I was slipping and sliding around like Bambi on ice. I was thinking about changing back into my trainers to avoid an accident.

At one point I lunged forwards a bit too deeply and ended up doing the splits. Ricky tried to help me get up but almost fell over too. We looked at each other in fits of giggles as we looked like a bad game of Twister.

"I'll just have to crawl out of here and drag myself up by a chair or something!" I laughed.

"This is ridiculous!" he laughed.

Tonight was our last night in Finland before we flew back home in the morning. I flopped into bed utterly exhausted by the slipping around. I'd had a lot of fun as well as drama on this holiday but I was ready to go home and see Tibby and Fatso again. I loved those cats too much.
