"Hey, what do you have planned for later?" I ask.

"I don't know, maybe a jog."

"I think I'm gonna take you out for dinner instead."

"Do you?" I ask.

"Yea."

"Then I'll think about it."

"You will?" I ask.

"I will."

"Oh! So you you will go out with me tonight. Great! I'll get you around eight."

I tried to make a quick get away but was unsuccessful. "I meant I will as in I will think about it."

"But you only said I will. Sooooo I'll pick you up around eight."

Livy POV:

I watched as he left, he fooled me, but it's ok. I was going to say yes anyway.

It was a couple hours before Anita came to switch shifts. I feel sorry for her because by the time she got there, there were five kids. Two of them are angels, but Goddess the other three... I'm praying for her.

I don't know what it is about Lucifer, but I like him. In a way I'm happy I'm stuck with him, I kind of feel protected and not scared. And he's so handsome, and I'm me, but he still wants me.

I know he's taking me to dinner, but I hope it's nowhere fancy, and I hope to the Goddess that we won't be driving for long.

There was a knock on my door, as I answered it saw Lucifer's best friend Joseph. "Hi." I say.

"Cut the shit." He pushed by me closing the door behind him. "What's your secret?" He asks as he sits on my dresser.

I can hear my heart rate pick up, and my sweat glands become active. "What secret?"

"Yours. The one that you're keeping." His eyes darkened, and I immediately feel small and submissive. "Lucifer told me the story. How you guys met and everything. But something keeps bothering me, but Lucifer is so blinded by you, he can't think of anything." He growled.

I'm confused, honestly. "What-t's the bot-ther?" I stutter.

"Why, you made him that grilled cheese." He smirked. "He clearly wanted to be alone, and as a Omega I know your kind senses that over everything else, and you fear it so you stay away. That's why there was no other Omega in the vicinity."

"I was-s jus try-ynna help."

"Bullshit." He said quickly. "You wanted to know why I said bullshit? Because you can't sense his sadness. And I know the whole guilt bullshit from the war a couple years ago, but you weren't there. Your sister, twin sister was."

He knows.

"Yea. You didn't think I knew, did you?" He smirked. "How Alaina was saved by Lucifer, and only a moment later she was saved by me. But I was jumped, taking on three wolves as she struggled with one. How she cried for your help, but you watched her die... then you ran." I can feel my jaw lock followed by a sour taste in the back of my mouth. My cheeks heat up before they're wet with my unwanted tears.

"Alaina and Olivious. The Omega twins. How your mother was so weak she died giving birth to Alaina, and they had to cut you out of her so you wouldn't die too." He clicks his tongue, and slowly shakes his head.  "You're probably wondering, how do I, a regular member of this pack, no; beta, gamma, or delta, know this. You see, nothing ever truly goes away, and you learn that with life. Your past will never remain in the past, because everything is documented." He stands up and I press my back to the wall hoping to escape through it.

Then he shows me. A book. But not just any book though, a diary from two years ago. I recognize that one because it was a blue book tainted with reaper, apples, and jogging stickers. It's the one where I wrote about that day, somewhere in there.

I have a diary, it's my most recent one, with a giant number 64 on it. I write in it every single day. Every day for the past nine years. They're almost the same size of a composition notebook, but has three times the pages.

I watch as he opens it and flips through the pages, looking for the entry. But I try to slyly scan my room to see how my chest, that held the diaries, and I just now realize the lock on it is broken. I look back at him, and he was just watching me.

"I also got to read about the cover ups too. Your secrets, obsessions, and the real reason you want to date my best friend." He smiles. "You're not an Omega. Your mother was, yes, but you... your father was a beta... our beta. Alaina's too, obviously, but she took on a gene of her mother. Her death was clear of that... with your help too."

I drop my act. It's too clear he knows, and there's no excuse, nothing powerful enough to redirect his train of thought. I spent my entire life living like an Omega, that a part of me became one. But I'm a beta, drawn to be beside a king... an Alpha. To make sure all the little things are in check, to document, every daily exercise and show off my power and ignorance.

My persona, becoming my character. How I forgot who I really am sometimes.

I back off the wall and walk closer to him. "What do you want?" I ask. "I know you didn't tell me this for fun, so what do you want?" I ask.

"I want you to be the best girlfriend you can be. And one day he'll purpose, and I want you to be the best wife you can be. And one day, you'll bear his children," my eyes drop before I look back at him, "and you'll be the best mother you can be." He smiles as he takes a step forward. "But." He says sharply. "When I give the word, you tell him it's over. That you can't be with someone like him anymore, that you're just too different, and he's not a good influence on your kids."

My heart sinks. "Josep-"

"When I give the word. You'll drop your entire life you have with him. And you'll pretend that he never existed." He growls, and I try not flinch at it... it's the Omega in me.

"You're his best friend." I tell him. "Aren't you suppose to want what's best for him?" I ask as he attempted to leave.

"The day'll come when he's suppose to walk away from you, but by then he'll be so in love with you he'll literally find it impossible. So you will leave him. And yes I'm his best friend, and trust me, this is what's best for him." He places the diary on my dresser, and gave me one last glance. "He'll thank me for this someday."
