Cassandra POV:
My boys stayed home, Debra and Menus are watching the three of them. I thanked them because ever since the twins started walking they've been a bit of trouble.
Angel is on the way with her enforcers to follow up on a lead I'm not so sure we should follow. Not because I don't know if I want to continue the investigation but because this is delayed information that should have been found the day of. I'm going to bring this up when they get here. It feels like a trap.
"Hey, Cassandra, Luna Angel Trevino and Alpha Max Trevino has arrived with a few of their members. They said they're ready for today's conquest." Celina says calmly.
"Thank you, Celina, have them wait in the common area and I'll be there in just a moment." She nods before leaving. I could have left just now, but she didn't mention Lucifer like why isn't he here? I shouldn't want to be around him after yesterday anyways... I'm starting to think he's one of those abusive mate that only starts off as calm and loving.
I get up from my desk, dragging the tips of my fingers along the edge before I leave. Awaiting and prepping for my entrance.
As I made my presence known I do look for Lucifer and he's not here, not a waft of him. "After reviewing the information that was missed Lucifer decided to beat one of the volunteered analysts, almost to death. So he's sitting in cell, and will be for the rest of the day."
"Yea... about that, I don't trust the new information. We found everything we need by day two with the category of Raymond lifetime, and then all of sudden much needed and important information just fell into our lap? It feels like a setup. I do not trust it."
Angel looks at Max as if she's waiting for permission to speak, but he doesn't look back at her. "Maybe this was just over looked-"
"Max, you saw what Lucifer did. They ran through database literally 50 times to make sure they didn't screw up so they wouldn't die. I think Cassandra may have a point." She catches my smile, because I know that this is where we may finally be getting somewhere.
"Ok ok. So if someone gave this to us, then whoever they are could be working for them, right? Instead of us being set up we can set them up. Kidnap them and let Lucifer work his magic and see if we can get any real information from these people." I suggest.
"But to do that we'd need to let my psychotic brother out of the cage and instead of squeezing information out he might accidentally kill them ... again."
"Then put on a leash." Max laughed.
"Then do you want to be on the other end of the rope?" Angel retorted. Max stopped laughing and only growled... no one wants to be on the other end of that rope. It's like a four year old walking a grown ass Great Dane, the leash may make the four year feel like it has control but at the end of the day the Great Dane will drag the four year olds ass across the country until there's nothing left but the arm. "Yea, I thought so." She looks back at me. "We limit his torture methods. No more chew toy-"
"Chew toy?" Celina asks quietly and shyly.
"Oh yes, it's when he unlocks the suspects and let them think they're going to get away but shifts and chases them until their body is between his teeth and shakes them... sometimes he shakes them too much and their body rips in half." Angel explained. "It's fairly entertaining, but frustrating when we still didn't get the information we wanted. It's suppose to be a scared method and Lucifer keeps getting carried away." Angel releases a mischievous smile and that makes the hair on the back of Celinas neck rise, and lose the color in her face.
