Toni and her mom at dinner run silent. Toni wore a brace around her ankle and her mother just glared at her. "What's your problem."Toni ask taking a bite of her food. "Don't be so naive Antoinette you know exactly what my issue is. " she says putting down her fork to glare at Toni.

"If I knew the issue I wouldn't of asked. " Toni snarls. Naomi fixes her hair with a sarcastic laugh. Her dark skin and light brown eyes were piercing. None the less she was gorgeous. Just like Toni their features were similar.

"You'd must've forgotten who your talking to young lady. Don't make me beat your ass." Her mom says with a 'test me' glare. Toni remains quiet.

"This football thing is beyond stupid Toni its not worth it." Her mom says angrily. Toni rolls her eyes hearing this for the tenth time tonight.

"Mom I told you I'm fine." Toni says and her mom gets up running a hand through her wavy short natural hair. "Now your fine but what if next time your not! You work so damn hard on football. But all it takes is one injury and you'll have nothing!" Her mom yells and Toni bites her tongue.

"You think you know everything. But I've been there. I thought I had everything and knew everything. But all it took was one bad decision and I ended up with am abusive husband and no place to live. So from someone who loves you I ask you to just listen to me." Her mother explains her eyes almost in tears. Toni loved her mother but she just stressed about anything.

Her mother was always taking care of her. She got a good paying job and now supports them both. And she was young to she was only 32. She had Toni at 16 which was young.

"Mom listen I started with singing and you convinced me that it we stop hard to become anything good in a town like Riverdale. So I got good at football. Please don't make me change another thing I love." Toni says standing up in front of her mom tears forming in her own eyes.

"I just want you to be safe. I lost my parents, my husband, I don't want to lose you too." Naomi says tears rolling down her cheek. Toni pulls her into a hug he r mother starts crying on her shoulder. "Your not gonna lose me ma. No matter what I'll be here for you. I promise." Her cries begin to steady.

"Operation find the gay is in command!" Kevin says marching into pops finding Betty Jughead and veronica in a booth. Veronica chokes on her water. "Excuse you?" Jughead says with a amused smile.

"Apparently there's a closeted lesbian in Riverdale high and as always I want to know whom. But outing isn't my thing so whomst ever wants to know who's the gay of day is will join me." Veronicas eyes widen as he slides into the booth.

The waitress scones back with a smile. "Can I get you another coke?" The girl ask Betty who glares at her. "I prefer coca cola over coke thanks." The girl looks at all of them who just shrug and she walks away.

"I had dinner with George Washington last night he's a hoot.* Betty says making veronica smile to herself and look down. Jughead just glares at her.
