The seven teens gathered around the lunch table. Betty, veronica Cheryl, Toni ,Jughead ,Archie , and Reggie. "If we when this game we when our district." Archie says excitedly. "Which might I just add will be the first in Riverdale history. " Reggie says and Toni smirks. " if we when we go to state!" Toni says thrilled.

"It is physically impossible for pigs to look up into the sky." Betty says at random. Veronica pats her knee while everyone else glares at her.

"Your moms coming to the game" Jughead informs Toni who looks at him surprised. "She never comes to my games she works over time at the doctors office. " Toni says blushing Cheryl grabbing her hand immediately under the table.

"Well she took off work I convinced her. She's excited." Jughead says and Toni offers a faint smile before looking down. She was nervous her mother never cared about her football. the fact she was coming gave her the want to win that game.

Pretty soon lunch was over and they were heading there ways.

Veronica was at her locker with a pout on her face when Betty skips over to her. "What's wrong vee?" She says with her corky smile. "Nothing.." She lies and Betty just raises one eyebrow and the girl caves. "Its my stupid idiotic boyfriend. " veronica says and Betty furrows her eyebrows in confusion.

"What I thought he was the Asian ken doll?" Betty says innocently.
"He's to perfect like don't get me wrong he's gorgeous and sweet there's just something about him I don't like " veronica says and Betty bites her lip. "Well homer Simpson once said it is better to love and lost than to never had loved at all." Betty says and veronica furrows her eyebrows.

"Shakespeare said that not homer Simpson." Veronica says and Betty laughs. "Silly veronica. A sphere can't talk its a shape" veronica shakes her head in disbelief.

"You nervous?" Cheryl ask seeing Toni throw the ball in the air catching it with a quickness. "A little. " Toni openly admits.

"You know what I do when I'm nervous?" Cheryl says with a corky smile

"What?" Toni stops to look at her.

"I picture everyone in the crowd even the football players in there underwear." Cheryl says and Toni just chuckles.

"That's kind of disturbing don't you think?"

"Well it depends the way you see it. If the crowd is all in there underwear they're all nervous why I'm not since I'm fully clothed. Its a vulnerability thing." Cheryl says causing Toni to think about it. She always thought that was a host.

"You'll do great. You always do great. " Cheryl says pulling her by her jersey into her. "Make me proud. " Cheryl says kissing the girl lightly before Toni smiles and nods rushing off to the field.

The first quarter had passed and no one had scored a single point the bored was dead. "Cmon boys play some damn ball!" The coach yells and Archie turns back around. "QB sneak on 2 " he says and everyone nods

Archie does as he planned and took off on the field Josie cheering him on along with the rest of the crowd. He make sthe touchdown with ease and everyone starts to cheer.

It was 4 quarter the score 7 to 7 Toni looks out to the crowd seeing her mom and Jughead at the edge of their seats. She finds Cheryl and the vixens who were cheering Riverdale on.

It was now or never. Archie gives her the signal and she runs to her spot she jumps up catching the ball with a spin she lands on her left foot with a growing pain. She must've sprung it. But there were two rushing tackles coming her way so she had no choice but to run like hell toward the touchdown. The crowd and cheerleaders go wild cheering her on. Her foot was throbbing and she could barely run but somehow she made it diving into the end zone not even thinking about her ankle.

Everyone starts to cheer but Cheryl notices her effort to get up.

"Her ankle! Someone check her out!" She shouts as two medics run to her.

"I'm fine !" Toni says annoyed. "Its sprung your off the rest of the game. " the coach says causing Toni to scoff. The score was up by seven now and Toni was beyond happy even with a sprung ankle.

The bulldogs win the game 14 to 7 it was a close and slow game all night. The opposing team put up a hella fight for the win.

Toni sat at the bench when Cheryl along with Betty and veronica rush to her aid. "Are you okay?" Veronica ask immediately.

"Did the ankle gods punish you?" Betty says looking frightened.
Cheryl glares at Betty who just looks down at the ground. "Babe what did the medics say?"

"The said I'm out for two weeks until I'm positive I can play at full complexity. That's a week before state so I'll be okay." Toni assures all of the girls. "No Betty I made piece with the foot gods ears a go." Betty claps excited and Toni snorts.

"I'm glad your okay. " Cheryl says connecting the girls lips to her own.
