I couldn't sleep at all throughout the night, and neither could Piero. I lay there, cuddled up to his chest as I heard letters being posted through the front door. Flinging myself from the bed as Piero attempted to sleep, I tugged a shirt on over my shorts and walked down the staircase. My hair was all in my eyes that I couldn't focus where I was going. And to my surprise I ended up tripping over the last thing I expected to find laying around. Glancing downwards, there lay a teddy. My heart snapped like a twig breaking into two pieces when I noticed what it was. Deciding to forget about the pain it brought back to me, I retrieved the letters laying on the floor as I read the names out loud of who they were for.
"Piero...Piero... Householder..." And that's when I noticed my name, "A letter for me?"
Opening the letter cautiously, I walked into the open living room and sat softly on the couch to read the letter to myself.
Smiling to myself, I didn't see the figure of Piero approaching me. Startled when he picked me up and into a deep kiss, I threw the letter to the side as I wrap my arms around him as well as my legs as he held support of me. Leaning back from the kiss, I looked into his charming, warm eyes as he kissed my nose lightly.
"What did you get a letter about?" He asked me, tickling my neck with his warm breath.
"Oh, just that our debut single has hit the charts and you get to come with me on our first tour." I smiled, kissing him deeply as he set me back down onto the floor.
"Well, let's have a celebration." He smirked, guiding me hand in hand into the kitchen just across from the room we were in.
Sliding the door to one side, Piero picked me up and set me on top of the kitchen counter. He walked over to grab two glasses and secretly I watched his shirtless back. His collar bones all curved, the way it defined his body. And when he turned around again, I blushed instantly as his eyes met mine. Approaching me, he handed me a glass of red wine and pressed our glasses together before we both took a sip. I placed my glass down as I looked off to the side, only to feel Piero pull me back to look in his direction.
"What is it?" I giggled, wrapping my arms around his neck again.
"You spilt a bit of wine." He replied, rubbing his mouth over my lip to get rid of the wine that missed my mouth.
Piero leaned forward to kiss my lips again. But when our lips were less than an inch away, the door bell rang. I leaped off the counter and practically ran to the door. As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted too....
"Mother! Father!" I exclaimed, the shock weakening my legs right before Piero came to support me.
"Oh my sweet Fiore, it's good to see you looking well." My mother smiled to me.
"Fiore, can we come in?" My father begged, as I stepped to let them in. I sat them down and filled them in on what had happened during the past couple of days.
