"We're going to be a band! Me, Melissa and Katia! It's going to happen!" I screamed in delight, not being able to contain my excitement for very long.
"Are you being serious, amore?" Piero questioned me, raising an eyebrow slightly, "Or was that a prank caller?"
"Why would it be a prank!" I exclaimed with a laugh, "I've waited for this moment my entire life! Why would someone try to tear it away from me?"
I began to shake, and Piero was there quickly to support me as we sat down on my bed together. He looked at me softly, and adverted his gaze suddenly when I saw him looking. Laughing, I placed my hand onto his knee, catching him off guard. When he looks back at me, I notice that his cheeks had turned slightly pink. I giggle at him, rolling back onto the bed to see him hover over me. Both giggling to ourselves, we lay there for a while, cuddling and completely forgetting about our disagreement argument. That's when something came to my mind.
"Piero?" I asked softly, thinking further into the possible future of this new life.
"What is it?" He replied back to me, petting my hair.
"Will you be there for me when times are tough?"
"Of course I will, amore."
"Will you be there for me to support me on tour."
"What kind of questions are these? Of course!"
"Then will you finally be there for when everything collapses and I need you."
"Yes, amore, yes!"
And with that, I sat up to face him and pulled him close. Our lips were barley touching as we glanced into each others eyes. I could sense that he could see the passion and pain in my eyes, as he started to close the gap very slowly. And before I knew it, our lips touch for the first time in a very long time. This time, it felt rather different. It felt like I was more willing for the kiss than ever before. Piero noticed, and he pulled back in a hurry. I simply smiled at him, pulling him back in for another kiss, then another, and another. There were so many kisses that I couldn't even count to realize that we were laying there in one another's arms.
Piero looked at me again, I couldn't resist to take his glasses off to try them on myself. My vision became blurry as I looked around, hearing him let out a soft chuckle. He took the glasses off from me and place them to the side.
"Can you see?" I giggled to him, placing my palms to cup his cheeks.
"The only thing I can see is your beautiful face, Fiore." He smiled, "And that's all that won't ever be blurred in my vision for eternity."
"We both know that we won't live forever, Piero." I sighed, not letting the smile fade away from my face. Then out of no where, there was a knock at my bedroom door, as my father peered around from the side.
"Piero, I'd like to have a word with you." My father requested to him.
"Sure, Ezio. I'll be right there." Piero smiled, giving me a final kiss before getting up to go talk to my father. I decided to wait behind the door and eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Piero, ragazzo mio." My father spoke, "I want to talk about your relationship with my daughter."
"Mr Lombardi, please rest assure that your daughter is in my safe hands." Piero insisted, but my father cut him off.
"That's not what I was worried about." My father sighed.
"Then, what is it?" Piero questioned him.
"My family have been around in Italy, knowing that Fiore is alive and wanting her dead. This was all related to why we moved to the United Kingdom. I didn't want her to get hurt. I trusted you all I just didn't want her to end up like me..."
