"Surprise! You unsuspecting fool!"
"Oh my gosh Luke that is not the correct way to wish someone happy birthday!" Jason screeches, jumping almost as much as I did when I got attacked by a pigeon in the dark last week.
Luke simply smiles and goes in for the hug, which Jason reluctantly accepts.
"Happy birthday love," Luke whispers.
"Thanks dear," Jason smiles into his shoulder.
"Now... THE CAKE."
"Luke you do realise we actually have to... have some form of other food before cake, right?"
"Food? What is this food you speak of? All I know is that there's a really big cake in the fridge and I want some."
"It is now my birthday wish to eat a proper meal," Jason says in a smug tone.
"Damn birthday wishes and the fact you have to adhere to them."
"So what are you going to make me?" J giggles.
"Empanadas. Everyone loves a good empanada."
"You know what? That sounds great."
"Then we can have cake?!" Luke asks desperately.
"Yes, then we can have cake," Jason concedes.
Luke gives him a grin, then stalks away to make Jason's birthday tea.
