Day 13: Flirting

"So then Luke. Here we are, sat with nothing to do." Jason states with an eyebrow raised, stretched out on the sofa taking up so much space but at the same time seeming like he was small and something to be protected. At least, he was in Luke's eyes.

"Indeed we are," Luke responds, "what do you propose we do?"

"Well I guess there's a lot of things I could propose... but for now, what's the best pick up line you've got?" Jason says, suddenly feeling full of the confidence he seemed to be lacking in pretty much any past interaction with a human.

"Don't mock," Luke warns.

"I could never."

With a confirming nod of his head, Luke begins, "would you like to see my vast array of knives?!"

"Erm..." Jason manages to get out, utterly speechless. Although he knew it would be something totally Luke, and by that he means not very... ordinary, he didn't think it would cross the line into such subjects.

"What? Was it not good? Jason you promised you wouldn't mock me!" Luke starts to panic thinking he's done something wrong.

Jason is quick to respond though, "of course not love, I just wasn't expecting something quite so blunt."

"Trust me Jason there's nothing blunt about knives, and did you just call me love?"

Jason can do nothing but smile because that's Luke trying, he really is.

"You are perfect Luke, in the way you flirt and in the way that sometimes you are utterly clueless."

"Let me try again, ok? I'll do better." Luke tells him in a determined voice, as if he already knows he's going to do well.

"You have a face."

Well then, Jason thinks.

"Yes. Yes I do?"

"I mean, you have a nice face. You have a nice face." Luke tries again, because he will get this.

"Thanks Luke," Jason returns with a small blush because now Luke really is complimenting him, albeit in a bit of a strange manner but it's a compliment all the same.

"I know I'm not the best at this but-"

"No Luke, you are the nice one." Jason swiftly cuts him off, there will be no self doubt in this household.

"I- I really don't know what to say to that," Luke softly admits.

"Don't say anything then," Jason tells him as he slowly leans in towards where Luke is sat facing him in the sofa.
