3rd Person's POV - 22nd February, 2012
Helicarrier, somewhere in the sea
Kaneki woke up, she's lying on the floor and had a massive headache, a kind that feels like someone just smashed her head against the wall repeatedly.
She sat on the floor still holding her head while looking around. She noticed she in some kind of containment made of glass.
She turned her back when hearing a door opened behind her.
"Look who's awake" Clint said as he, Natasha, Hill, Agent Coulson and Director Fury entered that place.
"W-Where.. Am i?" She queries
"You're in the Helicarrier.. We'll tell about it later" Clint replied
"What's is this.. Place?"
"Its an containment cell made for.. a certain person" Coulson explained
"You were asleep for two days" Natasha added
"TWO DAYS!?!?" Kaneki exclaimed in shock
"We had to use a bear sedative to calm you down" Hill joined in
"BEAR SEDATIVE!?!?"
"What happened??" Kaneki are very confused with the situation
"We were hoping you could tell us" Fury replied while Hill showed her a footage from an integrated camera of one the agent
It shows what they saw that night, Kaneki eating that monster, her rinkaku kakuja emerging, her mindless state, and when she killed that agent.
Seeing that Kaneki covered her face with hand, feeling ashamed, disgust, and hate.
"I.... You could say that.. I'm a... Cannibal" she muttered
"I thought you say that you weren't a cannibal since.. You're not really a human?" Clint are confused
"Its.. I.. I devour other ghoul.."
"Elaborate" Fury demanded
"By now you all probably had read my report on the kagune and rc cells. Just like i once said.. Ghoul can absorb rc cells from human and ghouls alike and made it their own. And consuming other ghouls are a way to be become a... Kakuja"
"Kakuja?" The three are lost by this foreign term, Fury keeps his cool though.
"Ghoul cannibalism are common to an area with more ghoul to human ration, combined with the occasional turf war and limited food supplies.. Cannibalism become the solution" Kaneki continued "All ghouls have a high concentration of rc and if that concentration become even more higher... It can trigger a new mutation and the creation of a new kagune.. And thus.. Become a kakuja"
Though they knew her world was dark enough they never guessed it would be that dark.
"So.. You must be living in one of those area if you had to resort in such practice" Natasha predicted, the others seems to agree.
Kaneki on the other hand.. Didn't replies, she looked sideways... Not wanting to look at their face.
"Wait.." Natasha realized "you're doing that on purpose.. Didn't you?"
She simply nodded
"What?! I mean.. we can understand if you can only eat human or ghoul to survive.. But.. Cannibalism on purpose!?" Coulson exclaimed
"Calm down" Clint said
"Why?" Fury inquired
"To survive of course.. " Kaneki answered "My world are harsher than this.. Ghoul lives in fear of dying and losing their loved ones.. Killed by those who would hunt us.. Or even killed by other ghouls." Kaneki are rather.. Different when she talked about this
