Josh's POV
Best friends
*edited*

Callum always was the tough one out of the two of us, he was the one that got into constant fights and the one that was not afraid to speak his voice.

He was 16 and I was 16, he was born on June 12th and I was born on July 2nd. His mom used to be friends with my mom and that's how we met.

Back before his parents fell off the ringer and Callum was left astray.

Callum's phone buzzed on the table as he was in the middle of eating his burger.

He let out a moan and looked at me.

"Ansr t Ples." He muffles out, his face full of burger.

I nod my head, pressing the on button and placing it down, turning it on speaker.

"Hey." Callum muffles out.

"What are you sucking dick or something? I'm confused, what's going on over there?" A familiar Australian voice echoes out.

I knew that voice.

"Callum is currently absorbing a burger, but there's always me to have a grand conversation with." I say, watching as Callum inelegantly inhales down a burger.

"Josh! Long time no talk, her, is it your dick Callum's sucking? Or someone else?"

I shake my head, "Like I said just a minute ago, Craner, he's eating a burger."

"Awh man, alright mate, uh, Callum, take me off of speaker phone, I have to talk to you about Maria."

That gets Callum to quickly swallow his food and place the phone to his ear.

Who was Maria? I ask myself. Callum only had one sister, how did Craner know her? Why didn't I know her?

I rolled my eyes at myself, there was curiosity and then there was what I was doing.

"Is she alright? I heard about the car crash from Mitch." Callum says, glancing at me and mouthing 'I'll tell you in a sec.'

I nod my head, feeling slightly relieved that he was gonna fill me in.

"Ah that's good, how's she doing?" Callum asks, running a hand through his black hair.

Unlike all of my features Callum adorned all the good genes in both his average parents - talk about unfair.

His eyes were a majestic green while his parents were brown (don't even get me started on how unfair science felt like being while making Callum).

His hair was Black his parents had boring brown to match their eyes, his face was chiseled and his features hard while his parents had soft and curvy features, probably from one too many beers. He was also extremely fit, while his parents sat around all day and whine about the fact that McDonald's Ice Cream machine never worked.

Me, on the other hand, I got all the average genes from my average family. Chestnut hair, brown eyes, normal face structure, normal body type, normal-ish height, and more importantly normal boring personality.
