Josh's POV
CLOSER
*edited*

Callum was trying so hard on his problems, it was hurting me.

I tutored him the best I could in this class but I was especially worried he'd crack under pressure and forget all of it.

He had 2 questions left and I was silently cheering him on in my head, he was doing really well so far.

I had already finished my quiz and turned it.

I watched as Callum finished the last question before making a face as he slugged over towards the turn in box.

~~~
"Holy shit." Callum says, genuinely confused. "I passed?" He asked himself.
"Wow. Maybe there is something in there." I say, flicking his head.
Callum looked at me, smiling like a little kid as he showed me his paper.
"I should frame it." He says.
Right now we were walking towards his car for lunch but we stopped at our first period class to see how Callum did.
And as I suspected, he passed with an exceptional grade.
Instead of hanging out with Callum's mutuals for lunch he suggested we go out and eat somewhere to celebrate.
We never did this so I was really hoping that we'd make it back in time for class.
"Okay, I'm think... Scottie's?" Callum suggests, looking as giddy as a little boy.
I roll my eyes, "Lets go to McDonald's, we always go to Scottie's." I say.
Callum glances at me before nodding, "K." He says.
McDonalds was a bust, it was way too crowded and we didn't have time to go to Scottie's before class started to we ended up just going back to school.
"Food doesn't matter when you pass a quiz." Callum says, wiping the 'dust' off his shoulders as if he had some there.
"Wow good job." I said sarcastically rolling my eyes, "You know, nobody like a person who brags about good grades, Cal."
He flicked his head towards me, "Rot in hell Josh." He said, sending me a joking air kiss.
~~~

"See ya tomorrow." I wave as I toss myself out of his car.

"Nope. See ya tonight, be ready to go to McDonalds." Callum says, grinning at me.

"Why?" I ask warily.

"You didn't get to eat because of me, so let's go to McDonalds." He shrugs.

I bite my lips, looking around.

"Alright, fine." I say sighing, waving at Callum as he pulls out my driveway and starts towards his house.

I know we were just hanging out, just doing what we always do, go out and eat randomly. But the thought that he felt bad about me not getting lunch so he decided to take me out, put butterflies in my stomach.
