Chapter 7: The Trial 2.0

After many long hours, Ethan's trial finally took place in the village court house. Ethan was brought in with rope tied hands behind his back, Captain Valthor followed in from behind "Order in the court!" Announced the judge "Today, King Roland II and the Hero of the Ever Realm himself, Prince Ethan, are here to state a recent incident that occurred between the two, please step up to the podium my Liege" He Said to Roland

10 Minutes Later

"Prince Ethan, step up to the podium" After a still enraged Ethan explained his side of the story, the judge then asked all other members of the Royal family about the incident "We didn't see it happen your honor" Said Queen Miranda, "What's more your honor" Sofia Added "Mom knows Ethan better then anyone else in the room, and she knows very well that he would NEVER do anything like that", "I understand you are having trouble finding the truth your majesties" the judge Replied "But i assure you that the truth WILL be revealed by the of the day", "Wait!" Sofia Called to him "I have an idea! we can use my looking back glass to find out exactly what happened", "How will that work?" King Roland Asked, "Just trust me dad" Sofia Replied.

15 Minutes Later

Two Royal guards walked in carrying Sofia's looking back mirror and placed it in the centre of the room below the judges podium "Now..." Said the judge "It is time to find out exactly WHO is the guilty one, whenever you're ready Princess Sofia" Sofia walked up to the looking back mirror and asked "Looking back mirror, please show us the moment when my big brother attacked my step father" the looking back mirror began to glow and then displayed the moment the incident occurred "Ok, everyone watch closely" Said Sofia, everyone gathered round and watched very closely. "Look there's me" Said Roland "Me and the Captain were busy talking when-" then the mirror showed Ethan rushing in shouting "There!" Exclaimed the King "This is when it happened!", "Please don't let it be true! please don't let it be true!" Miranda Thought in her head, suddenly the mirror showed the moment Ethan punch the King, everyone except Ethan, King Roland, Bailywick and Captain Valthor Gasped in horror "Oh my goodness!" Cried the Queen, "I can't believe it... it's true!" Exclaimed a Steward, "Obviously" Growled the Captain "Now, lock him up!". All the guards could do was grab the Ultimate Prince by the arms and walk him out of the building as his family watched in horror. "It would seem that the King stands true to his word" Decleared the judge "Therefore the King himself shall decide on the boy's fate", "Oh believe me, i will" the King angrily Frowned, he then turned around and walked away, "Case dismissed" Said the judge and he banged his mallet twice.

Later

Ethan's family walked into Sofia's bedroom crying their eyes out "Why! why did he do it!?" Cried Sofia "This can't be true! this isn't him!", "I know he and daddy used to argue when he first came to the castle..." Sobbed Amber "But he would NEVER actually attack him!", "That HAD to be someone else! that couldn't have been him!" James Exclaimed tearfully, "So it was true after all..." the Queen Sobbed "But something must be done... if we're ever able to see him again...".
