The following morning arrived at last, and John and Miranda were just waking up. "Good morning, honey..." John groaned quietly as he slowly sat up. "Five more minutes..." the Queen replied, sounding exhausted. "Oh, what the hell..." John shrugged, smiling faintly. After a short while longer, They picked their clothing off some coat hangers nearby, and quickly got dressed. "Did you sleep well?" Miranda asked her lover, "I feel more drained than usual". "Not really," John replied, "I'm mostly the opposite. That was perhaps the best slumber I've had in years..." After buttoning up his short, the Queen smiled, "Now, let's go and find everyone else." They entered the game room, to find Ethan being assisted by Sofia, "Good morning, you two" Miranda smiled. "Good morning, mom" Sofia smiled in return. "Morning..." Ethan said, turning his head slowly. He had massive black bags under his eyes, indicating restlessness. "Ethan, is everything okay?" the Queen asked, "Did get enough sleep last night?" Ethan would have told his mother about what happened during the night, but with his father in the room, he had no choice but to come up with something. "Word of advice: NEVER sleep on a couch, their comfy appearence is NOT to be fallen for". "So you didn't sleep well, is that what you're saying?" His father Asked him, "Yes..." Ethan Sighed loudly. "Ah, don't worry about it, son" Johnathon Smiled "Me and your mother on the other hand slept like champions!", Miranda giggled "We sure did". Just then the King came tiredly walking in "Good morning everyone..." He Said flatly, "Rollie?" Mirands Gasped "Is everything alight? you look awful". The gave out a long loud sigh "I'll be fine, Miranda. I just struggled to sleep last night, that's all", "What exactly caused that, your highness?" Johnathon Asked, "I just couldn't, so i continued to write letters to the people of Dunwiddie and Sommerset untill i finally managed to fall asleep..." the King Replied "Anyway, i'd love to rest and talk, but i still have much work to do". "Now just hold on a moment there" Johnathon stated "Don't just go off and become a workaholic now, think about your children", "Don't worry, Johnathon, i'll be fine" Roland Said sounding annoyed and he walked off back to his room. Everyone was concerned "Now what's wrong with HIM?" Ethan Asked "It's like my own depression became some form of disease, and he's caught it", "He's just cranky and tired, my boy" Replied his father "Though he really should take things more slowly...".

Meanwhile

The King of Enchancia sat at his desk in his bedroom, busy writing away "Finally... the last one" He Said slowly. Just then the doors slowly opened, and the queen walked in "Rollie?" She Asked with a most worried expression "Are you sure you're feeling alright?", "I'm fine, Miranda..." Roland Said flatly. "Rollie, what's wrong?" Miranda Asked sternly, the King Sighed long and hard "I'm just a little bit depressed right know". "Depressed?" the Queen Asked "About what, honey? nothing bad i hope", "Well, i can't say yes, and i can't say no", "Honey, i think it's all this hard work getting your family reunion ball prepared. I think Johnathon is right, you're working too hard". "If you're suggesting that i take a break, i will soon, just as soon as i finish this last letter", "Alright, Roland..." Miranda Sighed and she slowly walked out, closing the door behind her. King Roland turned back to continue writing, and a small tear dripped from his eye onto the paper, "No more pet names... I don't think I'll ever get used to this..."

Elsewhere

The Queen was with Ethan and the children in the parlor "So, what really happend last night?" Miranda Asked her son, Ethan Sighed "The Kingdom of Zumaria was attacked by a handful of surviving members of the Army of Darkness, but we took care of them". "I tried to help, but i wasn't strong enough..." Sofia Sighed, her big brother put a hand on her shoulder "Hey, don't worry about it" He Said reassuringly "We all have our own strengths". This made Sofia look up at him "I know... but i wish i could've helped you defeat those soliders, I did defeat an all-powerful sorceress after all". "Ah, yes, Vor" Ethan frowned angrily, "I wish i could have seen the look on her ugly mush when you finally brought her down for good...". "Ethan!" his mother gasped, almost in a scolding tone, "Don't say things like that around the children." Ethan just groaned loudly, "I'm just tired, mother." He then turned to face his brother and sisters, "Sorry about that". "It's okay" Amber replied. "Don't worry about it" replied James. "Sooooo..." went Ethan, "What do we do in the meantime? Roland is working on writing those letters to his family and the villagers, but apart from that... I'm completely lost for ideas". "I have one" Sofia spoke up, "Since I couldn't help you fight the dark soldiers...". "You wish to learn how to fight them?" Ethan said raising an eyebrow. "Maybe you could teach me?" Sofia asked kindly. The Ultimate Prince was unsure about what to think, but he eventually made his mind up, "Very well," he smiled. So, everyone went outside to the courtyard to begin.
