Chapter 39: So End the Nightmares

Johnathon swiftly looked over at his son, surrounded by nothing but worried looks from people "Son..." He Gasped, he then turned back to Captain Valthor and glared at him. He then plunged his son's blade through the palm of the Captain's hand, causing him to let out a deep roar of pure agony. He then turned and bolted over to the crowd, worried out of his mind "Son!" He Cried. Ethan slowly opened his eyes and turned to face his father "Dad..." He Said weakly. Johnathon quickly kneeled down beside him and began cradling him "Easy, son..." He Said with worry "Everything's going to be alright". "Dad... i'm scared..." Ethan whimpered, his eyes now completely flooded with tears  "I don't want to die... i feel... numb". "Shhhhh... it's alright, son" His father softly Replied "Stay with us, you're not leaving on us just yet". Then Roland kneeled down to join them "Cedric?" He Asked urgently, looked up at the sorcerer "Isn't there a spell you can use to heal him?", "I'm afraid not, Sire!" Cedric Frowned "I've never even seen a injury like this before, i don't even think a spell would work in this case!". Roland Sighed in frustration and turned back to the injured Prince "Then we'll have to see how bad the injury is", he quickly unbuttoned Ethan's shirt and jacket to reveal a small hole in his chest area, blood dripping everywhere. Everyone gasped in horror "Oh my baby!" Miranda Cried hugging Johnathon and Ethan, "Hand in there, son" Johnathon Said tearfuly. But then he noticed that everyone was still looking down at him "Can someone get a fucking doctor!?" He Shouted with a face of pure rage, everyone jumped "I'm afraid that isn't possible!" Replied Cedric "The reason Doctor Evans isn't in here is because he was parilyzed along with everyone else outside!". The King was serverely confused "Wait, what do you mean 'Parilyzed along with everyone else'?" He Asked the sorceror. "When i went to investigate Sir Jerry and Sir Gerald's claim that the Captain had escaped my tower, i immediately raced over there" Cedric Replied "Only to discover that he had indeed made a gateway, and so the 3 of us began searching all over the castle for him. After what felt like forever, i was finally greeted by the motionless body of a steward. I discovered that she had been parylized by magic, and, as i continued, i came across many other motionless members of staff. Many guards had also fallen victim to the spell, even Jerry and Gerald... Eventually, i heard what sounded like Princess Sofia, and i raced over to where her voice was coming from, only to be greeted by her in the midst of a duel with Valthor!". "That's quite enough, i think we get it!" The King Frowned, his hands turning into fists as he glared over at the injured Captain of the Royal Guard. "It's ok, dad" Sofia Assured him "I'm fine, i'm not hurt in any way", "Er... Sofia?" Replied her father "I'm over here". The Princess Sighed "Sorry, dad" She Frowned "I'm... just a little frazzled", "Don't worry, my angel" her father Smiled softly "Just relax, your brother will be fine". "So... what do we do now since Doctor Evens isn't here!?" Frowned James, but just as James had finished speaking, Ethan turned his head to see something with a red glow to it in the Captain's pocket. He then shakingly pointed at it, gaining everyone's attention  "I... need it!" He Cried weakly, "What, son!?" His father Asked him "What is it!?". "My... chain!" Ethan Replied "I need it, now!". Johnathon was concerned, but the rest of his family and Roland's knew exactly what his son was refering to. "Johnny, go and get that red glowing object from that monster's pocket!" Miranda Cried "Quickly!". Without another word, Johnathon raced over to Valthor who was still trying to free himself of the sword pierced through his hand. He then kicked him in the chest, keeping him down and took the real ruby chain back out from his pocket. He ran back over and handed the chain to Miranda "Here", "Here you go, sweetie!" She Said to her son as she placed it around his neck. The Ruby Chan glowed bright, and Ethan's wounded area began to do the same. After around 10 seconds, the light faded, and Ethan gasped heavily in relief. He gently felt his chest "I'm... i'm healed!" He Beamed "I'm alright!", everyone cheered happily with joy, the eldest Prince of the Enchancia was no longer in danger of passing. "My baby's okay!" Miranda Cried hugging him, "I was so worried!" Cried Sofia, "We all were!" Cried Amber. "I-I-It's a pure miracle!" Johnathon Gasped, "How in the HELL does a simple yet impressive piece of jewelry heal someone like pure magic!?". "It's... a long story" Ethan told him "Now, where is that dickhead!?", everyone including Johnathon and the rest of the Royal Family looked over at Captain Valthor, who was still struggling in agony to free his hand from the sword, still pierced through his hand. Ethan quickly got up "Let's end this...", he started walking over, and everyone could only respond by doing the same. The Captain finally managed to pull his blade out from his hand, all the while emmiting a loud cry of agony. He got to his feet as everyone approached and he tried to swing his blade in Ethan's direction, only for Ethan to block his arm and headbutt him hard on the nose. Valthor let out another deep pain-filled roar as he staggered back down to the ground "Same... fucking nose!" He Growled weakly, "Shut your god-damn mouth!" Ethan Snarled back. His father quickly walked up and stomped on the Captain's chest, keeping him at bay. "Watch him, i'm going to find the guards" Said Ethan, but just as he started to walk off, King Roland stopped him "Wait, you most likely didn't hear Cedric say this. But all the guards are frozen solid, just like he once was". "Don't worry, your majesty" Decleared Cedric "I'll deal with this, you all wait here", but then he stopped turned back to face everyone "On second thought, i think i may require a little help from my little 'Apprentice'". Sofia Smiled and followed him out into the hallway. After around half an hour, Sofia reversed the spell on the final guard with her wand, their work was finally completed. Both she and Cedric walked back to the ballroom, where they saw the 'Former' Captain of the Royal Guard arguing with Johnathon and his son. "You should have killed me when you had the chance, boy..." He Snarled at the Ultimate Prince, "Same with you!" Ethan fumingly Replied. "Son, please stay out of this" Johnathon Said sounding slightly stern, he then turned back to Valthor and Said "You are among the lowest, most worthless, and overall worst kinds of human beings to ever come into existance... you are nothing but the scum of the fucking earth!" He Said fumingly "Not only do you attack MY daughter in front of every single person here, but also try to kill MY son with a loaded firearm! You are now the single most loathed person on the planet! the only thing preventing me from ending your-now 'worthless' life here and now-". "Honey, stop! please!" His lover Cried, causing him to stop dead in his tracks. Sofia then rushed over to help calm him and Ethan down, right as two guards dressed in black arrived "There you are!" they Boomed, it was Jerry and Gerald. They marched over to Valthor and each grabbed an arm tightly, "Take him to the dungeon, we'll be down there to deal with him later" the King Ordered "DON'T let him out of your sight untill then", "GET HIM OUT OF MY SIGHT!" Roared Ethan. "Yes, Your Highness!" They chorused and without another word, took their groaning leader quietly away. After what felt like forever in terms of silence, Ethan suddenly collapsed to his kness and completely broke down. Everyone quickled gathered round him, and his family immediately kneeled down beside him whereas his father pulled him into a tight hug. "Hey, big bro?" James Asked his big brother "Are you alright?", but then he felt a hand touch his shoulder, he turned to see his father with a massive frown on his face, so he kept quiet "S-Sorry..." He Frowned.
