Sofia the First: Father

Chapter 32: It Happened...

Ethan and Sofia were out in the courtyard warming up, Amber, James, Miranda and Johnathon were also there watching them bond together. Roland finally had time to rest a little from preparing his family reunion party, and so he decided to join them in watching. "Alright, Sofia" Ethan Decleared "Before we begin, we're going to start with a quick warm up. I'm thinking a few runs from this side of the courtyard to the other, but judging by your physical appearence, I'd say it won't be that much of a challenge". Sofia giggled "Let's do it!", the race was on and Ethan had gained the lead within a single second "How does he do that?" Sofia Thought. After their laps were done, Sofia was almost completely out of breath "How.. do you... do that!?" She asked as she Gasped heavily. Her big brother chuckled "I'll give you a hint, the muscles do most of the work", Sofia could only sigh in embarrassment, "Don't worry about it" Ethan Smiled "Remember: You may be small, but you are nimble, making you MUCH faster in your own way". Sofia Smiled in responce "Thanks", "Anyway" Ethan Decleared "James has been generous enough to lend us two of his wooden swords for the time being, so we're just going to pretend we're fighting each other. Now, let the REAL training begin!" and so the protector's training began, and she proved to be very much capable in a duel "My your talented!" Ethan remarked blocking Sofia's attack. "Well i HAVE done fencing the past two years" Sofia Smirked, "That explains it" Ethan Chuckled. They then both stopped for a break, "Listen" Ethan Said "I know my own training may seem BEYOND violent, and i know very well that this is extemely early for someone your age. But you need to know these things as you grow older, because there WILL be certain beings out that can easily overpower you, even as a protector with magical powers". "Don't worry, i think i'm ready" Sofia Assured him, "Judging by your strangely high level of matureity, i find it hard to disagree" Ethan Smiled. As time went on, Sofia's training became progressively harder. Ethan then stopped to speak to her "Ok, now that's you've learnt all the basic skills i use to fight the Army of Darkness. I want you to try and use one of them against me, pretend i'm an evil soldier... and embrace your inner swordsmanship". "Ready!" Sofia Said narrowing her eyes, "Begin" Ethan Decleared.

Ethan - Swings sword right

Sofia - Blocks and pushes forward

Ethan - Pushes Sofia away and raises sword above his head ready to attack

Sofia - Rolls between Ethan's legs

Ethan - Swing blade downwards

Sofia - Swings blade right, hitting Ethan in the side

Ethan was most impressed "Excellent work!" He Smiled proudly "You'll be the Ultimate PRINCESS before you know it!", everyone laughed upon getting the joke. "But there's something you missed, it is better... to push your sword... THROUGH the stomach, instead of swinging it to the side". But he had said that louder than normal, causing everyone to gasp in shock. Amber almost fainted, James gagged and everyone else was practicaly speechless "I think that my be a bit too much detail, son!" His father chided him "Either tone it down a little, or we'll call it a day".

The upset, irritating voice of his father caused Ethan to lower his head, his eyes turning pitch black and hands turning into fists. He began angrily marching over towards everyone "You honestly think i don't know how to treat my own sister!? you wretched old fool!" He Shouted sounding beyond demonic. "What the..." His father Gasped under his breath, as soon as Ethan reached him, he got right in his face "Oh, i get it!" He Snarled "It's because you're the 'Man' of the family, you think you can just walk around giving orders, destroying the free will and mortal right of everyone else!". "Ethan, calm down!" Roland ordered, the enraged Prince pointed towards him without even looking in his direction "You, stay out of this..." Ethan Growled darkly. "If you so much as THINK for a second you can walk around aimlessly and order your family around, you're souly mistaken!" He Growled to his father, "Son, listen to me!" Johnathon Said in a nervous state "Calm down, this isn't you!". "Ethan, please!" Sofia Cried as she raced over, Ethan then suddenly collapsed to his knees and grabbed his head with both hands. He let out a most painfuly loud groan as everyone stood there petrified "Ethan!" the girls Cried in unison, "Quickly! get Dr. Evens!" Roland Shouted in dismay.

Thankfully, Ethan's eye color turned back to normal, and he stopped freaking out "W-W-What..." He Groaned weakly "W-What... happened?", he ever so slowly rose to his feet "My head hurts...". "S-Son?" Johnathon Asked with worry "Are you alright?", "I wish..." Ethan Replied flatly. "Are you hurt?" Amber Asked nervously, "No..." Ethan Replied breathing heavily "But i feel rather dizzy...". "I think that's enough for today" Johnathon told him "We'd better bring you inside", and so the Royal family escorted the Ultimate Prince back inside the castle and up to his bedroom, all the while wondering what had just transpired.
