Chapter 11: A Tale Of My Own

Meanwhile

Cedric Groaned and pretended to rub his head and collapsed to the floor as the doors flung open, revealing an entire squadron of Royal Guards "What happened!?" one of them Exclaimed, "Is everyone alright!?" another Asked. "Ohhhhh..." Cedric Groaned "I'm alright", "What happened!?" the Guard Asked him "The boy... burst in, knocked me down... and that's the last thing i remember" Cedric Groaned, "He stole Cedric's wand and froze dad solid!" Exclaimed James, "And then he ran off!" Amber tearfuly added. "Never fear your majesties!" one of the guards spoke up "We shall track down Prince Ethan and escort him safely back to his room!", "But first" another Replied pointing to the frozen king "Unfreeze the King" Cedric hesitated with worry, but then walked up to the King and nervously recited a spell to reverse the current effect on him. Within 10 seconds, the King unfroze and sprang to life "Wha- what happened!" He stuttered, "Dad!/Daddy!" the Royal twins Cried happily and they bothed hugged him tightly. "Kids..." He happily Sighed hugging them back, after a few long moments he turned to the group of guards "What happened?" He Asked, "Your eldest son is on the loose within the castle walls" one Guard Replied "Therefore we have to hunt him down and chain him up again", King Roland was horrified "What!?" He Exclaimed "You'll do nothing of the sort! find Ethan and ESCORT him to me, i must have a talk with him", "Very well my King" the Guards Replied and they all left to inform the rest of the Royal Guard about Ethan's disappearance. Just then Roland noticed the frozed Captain in the hallway "Oh no!" He Frowned "Ethan got him to!?", Cedric and the other Royals were puzzled, he didn't seem to remember anything that just occured in front of his very eyes, but Cedric decided to use this to his advantage "It certainly looks that way" Cedric Frowned. "Well, what are you waiting for!?" The King hastily replied "UNfreeze him!". Cedric idled for a breif moment, think about what do or say "But, Sire" He finally asked, "Don't we have more important things to worry about? If the boy comes back this way... history may repeat itself!", the King thought for a moment "Very true," he replied, "Alright then, take him to your tower and lock it down untill further notice". "Very well" Cedric Replied and he walked over to the frozen Captain, used a levitation spell and guided him back to his tower.

Meanwhile

Ethan and Sofia made their way up a large, blue staircase, once they reached the top, they were greeted by what appeared to be a large, strangely shaped, blue door

"What's this?" Ethan asked bluntly. "Don't worry, I've seen and done this before," Sofia replied. She then pulled out a small blue object.

"Where did you get that from?" Ethan asked curiously. "I'll explain after" Sofia replied, "I always keep this with me everywhere I go." She turned the object sideways and pushed it into the door's lock, and shortly after, it opened. "Welcome, to the Secret Library," The Princess announced.

"Wow..." Ethan Gasped, "I know" Agreed Sofia "I was like that the first time I came to this place", "It's like a dream become reality" Ethan Said forming a small grin, "This place is perfect to hide in for a while untill things calm down back at the castle" Sofia Decleared, "Not much of a bookworm... but i suppose it'll do" Ethan Sighed "At least it's not the goddamn Afterlife", "It's better then the village" Sofia Agreed "You'll just get pestered by everyone you cross paths with, and you could easily be found by the guards", just then a bearded man walked over

"Ah Princess Sofia" the man Smiled "How lovely it is to see you again", Ethan quickly stepped infront of his little sister and held his hand in front of her "Whoa whoa!" He Said in a serious tone "Now who in the hell are you?", "Wait!" Exclaimed Sofia "He's not harmfull, trust me". "The Princess is right" the man Replied "I am completely harmless", "Then who the ARE you?" Ethan Asked again "I, am the First Storykeeper" the Man Smiled "Welcome to the Secret Library", "Ah... my apologies" Ethan apologised "Hold on... the first?", "Indeed" the Story Keeper Replied "But it is a long story", "Do you have a name?" Ethan Asked, "Truth be told i have been here so long... that have merely forgotten" the Story Keeper Replied "I simply go by the nickname of... Narrator", "Alright" Said Ethan "So why are you here?", "I was expecting you" The Narrator Replied, "For us to come here?" Ethan Asked sitting down on the nearby bench "That's right" the Narrator Replied "You are Sofia's long lost brother yes?", "He sure is" Sofia happily Replied hugging her big brother. "It is touching that you are finally back together after so many years" The Narrator Smiled, but his face then turned into a big frown "I have heard of your tragic backstory of how you came to be who you are, and my the great sorrow i feel for you", "He's been through so much" Sofia Agreed "I just wish it would all end alrea- oh!", "What?" Ethan Asked looking down, "I sat on something..." Sofia Replied turning around "Oh there's a book here", Ethan reached for the book and read the title "The Tale of... Prince Ethan" He read "A book... about me?" He raised his eyebrow, "I can't believe it!" Sofia Beamed "Now YOU have a tale of your own", "My god..." Ethan Gasped "This. is. Ah-mazing! if only Walt could see me now!" he then picked his little sister up and hugged her all the while laughing. Sofia could only join in the laughter and wrap her arms around his neck in return, the Narrator just Smiled "How touching, now, let us get back to the buisness at hand", "Ah yes" Ethan Replied putting Sofia down "Carry on", "The main reason that book exists is because it is a follow on story after Sofia's tale", "Wait" Ethan stopped him "Sofia's tale?", "Yes" the Narrator Replied "She has a tale of her own, it tells her whole life's story, including the moment she defeated the evil Vor and saved your home", "That's my girl" Ethan proudly Smiled at Sofia, Sofia herself could only smile sweetly. "Anyway" The Narrator continued "I've just finished writing, and so i must ask... would you both care to have a listen?", "We'd love to" Sofia Grinned, "Here here" Ethan Agreed. "One moment please" Said the Narrator and he walked over to the side of the staircase railing and suddenly, there was a massive gust of pink mist, the Narrator dissapeared and in place of him was a large, sapphire pendulum. Then, Ethan's book floated upwards slightly, and straight into the pendulum. the siblings heard what sounded like the voice of the Narrator reading out each word.
