And some that smile
have in their hearts,
I fear,
millions of mischiefs.

She stares at me as if she is looking at a ghost. I smile at her and tucks her hair behind her eyes. Her eyes are filled with tears and they are rolling down her eyes. I grab my handkerchief from my pocket and wipes her tears.
From the corner of my eyes, I can see the stares of my family. I turn my head towards them only to find all of their face filled with confusion. Troy is glaring at me as if he wants to kill me. I glare back at him.
Yesterday, Troy told us that his friend has a crush on him and that he couldn't tell her about him and Tessa. Tessa didn't want anyone from work knowing about their relationship, hence Troy couldn't tell his friend about Tessa. He said he'll bring her here and then convince her about everything. When he told all this, I thought he's talking about some crazy bitch who is trying to get into his pants, not someone who's so sweet. She's disparate from what I imagined.
Asshole! I'm gonna kick his ass but before that I need to make sure that she is okay.
Love... I smile. I don't even know her name but I already have a nickname for her.
"Come let's have breakfast but before that we should clean you up," I say as I stand and pull her along with me. She doesn't say anything, she just stares at me.
"What do you think you're doing?" Troy asks, his eyes turning wide.
"Me? I'm just helping her, something that you should be doing but since nobody is doing it, I decided to help her out." I pull her along with me to the washroom and closes the door behind us.
She stares at me without uttering a word. She looks despondent and I don't like that. "Cry as much as you want. There's nobody here to pity you so cry as much as you want. I promise I won't judge you." Tears rolls down her eyes again. "Though he's not worth your tears but still you need to let out everything." That was more of an encouragement for her because she falls on her knees and cover her face with her hands and sobs harder.
I sigh and I slowly pull her up to standing position and wrap my arms around her. She doesn't resist me, it's like she doesn't care about anything and neither do I. All I know is that she needs a shoulder to lean in and cry and I'm here for that. I don't expect anything more. At least not yet.
