The green eyed girl woke up to the alarm on her phone since her actual alarm clock is somewhere at the bottom of a dumpster. She stood up in her bed and walked straight downstairs, attempting to rub the lingering bit of sleep out of her eyes.

"Morning," Lauren greeted her Aunt and Uncle through a lazy yawn.

"Hey, Laur," her Aunt smiled sweetly, walking passed with a tray of utensils and breakfast. As she walked passed, struggling to balance the heavily loaded tray in her fragile hands, one of the kitchen knives started to wobble over the edge.

"Watch out!" Aunt Clara yelled. Right as Lauren's Aunt's resounding voice rang through her tired ears, she watched as the knife fell off the tray. But much to her Aunt's and Uncle's surprise, Lauren didn't even flinch in the slightest bit as she simply reached down to catch the falling utensil.

"Woah, Laur! Nice catch!" her Uncle exclaimed, both her Aunt and Uncle left staring in complete shock at Lauren as she safely placed the knife down onto the wooden table.

"How'd you do that, Laur?" her Aunt asked, lightly placing the breakfast tray onto the surface of the dining table.

"Luck, I guess," Lauren said, shoving a bite of toast into her mouth with a ginger shrug of her shoulders.

They all sat down at the table and ate their breakfast. It was something that Lauren had gotten so used to. And as she looked around the table, she couldn't bite back the smile at the scene. Her Uncle was getting scolded by her Aunt for putting his "dirty shoes" onto the dining table as he fixed his glasses in order to get a better focus on the daily newspaper. The house that used to hold Lauren and her parents was now starting to feel... like a home again.

The peace was interrupted when Clara's sweet voice said," Micheal, look at this" as she turned up the volume on the old television. Lauren's eyes peaked through her lashes as she looked up. But her head was soon lifted in a shocked motion as she internally freaked out when she saw a picture of her swinging around in her blue and red outfit on the screen.

"People have dubbed him Spider-Man, as pictures have been taken of him swinging around the city in a hoody with a spider icon on it. He's been said to have assisted the police with two arrests now."

"Wonder how old he is. Must be a good kid," her Uncle stated. And Lauren let a quiet chuckle slip passed her lips. Because the situation was just too ironic.

"Don't ya think it's quite sexist that they instantly think it's a man though?" her Aunt asked with slight annoyance lacing her normally soft voice.

"Of course it's a man, Clara. I mean, look at his bulge," her Uncle replied, prompting Lauren to laugh as she brought her dirty plate to the sink.

"Micheal!" her Aunt scolded underneath her breath. Because they both know about Lauren's... condition. But Lauren had never minded, she would never let such a subject negatively affect her life.

"Gotta go. Have a good day at school, Laur!" Micheal waved as he rushed out the doorway to head to work. And when her Aunt rolled her brown eyes, Lauren couldn't help but let the amusement play its way onto her lips.

"Bye, Uncle!" Lauren yelled while heading upstairs in order to get ready for school.

---

School went great for Lauren. She didn't have a single interaction with Austin--not even in the morning. She left school feeling happy that tomorrow would finally be the day that she gets a day out with Camila.

When she finally got home and entered her room, she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket.

From Kate: Wanna meet up so I can take some pics?

To Kate: Yeah sure, meet me at the place where I took your camera and threatened your life

From Kate: #ForeverTraumatized

Lauren laughed at Kate's antics as she put her outfit on. And she couldn't help but take a moment to appreciate the outfit. Maybe the public eye dubbing her "Spider-Man" wouldn't be such a bad thing.

---

The raven haired girl climbed to the top of a building and put her silky outfit on. She looked over the ledge and saw Kate standing at the bottom, casually leaning her back against the side of the building.

To Kate: U ready? Take as many pics as you want

From Kate: Ready

As soon as Lauren received the text back from Kate, she jumped down, making sure to swing right in front of Kate. The other girl jumped back, but a laugh left her lips before she pulled out her camera and began taking pictures of the green eyed girl.

Only a few seconds passed of Lauren swinging around with the sound of rapid clicking from Kate's camera before the playful atmosphere was ruined. A high pitched shriek sounded and Lauren knew that it was her cue to leave.

"Kate, stay here!" Lauren yelled down to the other girl as she swung into the direction of the scream. Her feet landed  gracefully on a rooftop before she looked over the ledge, jumping down when she saw a man with a gun held firmly aimed at a young teenage boy.

"Stop right there, Spidey" the man turned, revealing a guy in a ski mask. And Lauren couldn't help but shake her head at the quiver in his attempted intimidating voice.

"Oh come on, man. You people really don't know when to quit it," Lauren jokingly let out the witty comment as she walked towards the man. "Seriously. Like, did you know yesterday, I saw a guy trying to rob a lady? Like learn some manners-" Lauren was quickly cut off by the guy nervously pulling the trigger with a shaky hand. But with ease, she dodged the various amount of bullets before swiftly yanking the gun away from him.

"Why haven't they changed the gun laws yet?" Lauren groaned, rolling her eyes when the man pulled out another gun.

"Run. I got this," she said to the teenager as he took off in the other direction with no hesitation.

The green eyed girl turned just in time to sense the man's heavy swinging fist as she quickly jumped backwards to dodge his swift left hook. She quickly yanked the smaller gun away from him and webbed both his wrists to the brick wall of a building behind him.

"You're really persistent, huh?" she laughed as his legs kicked forward as he attempted to wriggle his wrists out of the webbing.

The raven haired girl then shot her webbing all over his body, fully attaching him to the brick wall. She pulled out her phone from the pocket on her left leg, masking her voice with a deep one as she called the cops. And as soon as she heard the resounding sound of police sirens, she slung to the nearest rooftop.

She stayed perched up on the rooftop and watched as the cops took yet another criminal to jail. Once the police car dissipated out of view, she fled the scene and met back up with Kate.

"You think you got enough pics for today?" Lauren yelled down to Kate from the rooftop.

"Yeah, I think so! I'll send you the cut through the mail!" Kate replied, scrolling through the many photos on her camera.

"Alright! See ya, Kate!" Lauren waved, watching as Kate left in her car. She jumped down and took a peak around her surroundings before changing out of her "Spider-Man" outfit.

Being able to save people brought a strange feeling of confidence to Lauren. And as she entered her household, she couldn't help but smile at her Aunt and Uncle. Because maybe now she'll finally be able to save them, the same way that they were able to save her.
