(Camila's POV)

They were all quite shaken about the events that just took place. It all seemed to happen in a flash. What were the chances that, that robber would run into them while Spider-Man was chasing him down.

They wanted to all stay together at Camila's house, but all of their parents refused. Although they wanted to stay together, the knew their parents' intentions.

Camila was shaken by the whole situation for certain. But what worried her even more was that Lauren had taken a bullet for Marielle. She couldn't tell exactly what happened, but she knew hat Lauren got hurt since she was holding her arm when she was slinging away.

Camila was crawled up on her bed, underneath the sheets, as if they would shield her from all danger. That's when she heard the infamous knock at the window. Camila was facing away from the window, but of course she knew that it was Lauren.

Camila wasn't mad, or disappointed at Lauren. It was more of she was afraid to see how hurt Lauren was, so she stayed in her same position on the bed.

*Knock Knock

Camila knew the run-down of this situation. Lauren was either in her Spider-Man suit, so she has to open the window. Or her caring girlfriend is on the other side of the window, so she has to open it. Either way, Camila would have to open the window and let Lauren in. So when she heard the next knock, she slowly sat up from bed and turned around. Seeing Lauren with an apologetic expression and a white rose on hand.

When Camila opened the window, with a little help from Lauren, they both just stayed quiet as they scanned each other up and down.

As soon as Camila saw the slight bulge under Lauren's left arm sleeve, she reached over and slowly lifted Lauren's sleeve up. Her face softened when she saw Lauren with a wrap around her arm.

"I didn't get shot. It was just a scratch" Lauren whispered, the guilt evident in her tone. Camila just stayed silent, still inspecting the bandage wrapped around Lauren's arm. She felt the tears starting to brim her eyes, and Lauren was quick to speak up again.

"Camzi, I love you. I'm not going anywhe-"

"I know, Laur! But I just can't!" Camila sobbed, before dropping her head into her hands.

"I can't do this, Laur"

(Lauren's POV)

"I can't do this, Laur"

Lauren's heart immediately dropped. Hearing those words come out of Camila's mouth weren't anything she thought would ever come out of Camila's mouth.

Out of all the scenarios, Camila rejects Lauren from the start, Camila and Lauren end up happily ever after, Camila and Lauren end up having a mutual breakup. After all the scenarios that Lauren replayed through her head, Camila saying that she couldn't do this, was never in one of them. She never thought that she would be in a relationship with Camila, let alone have Camila actually breaking up with her.

"What do you mean?" Lauren didn't want to believe that Camila wanted to breakup.

"I can't do us anymore. I can't be involved with this broken relationship anymore, Laur. I never know when you might die or get really hurt and my heart can't take it anymore" Camila uttered all of the words that Lauren never wanted to hear. Although it was indirect, Lauren knew that Camila was talking about Spider-Man.

Lauren sat there, on the rooftop, frozen, with her gaze planted below her.

"Camz..." Lauren trailed off, having absolutely nothing to say. The first tear made it's way down her cheek. Suddenly, a mix of emotions started flooding Lauren's mind. Frustration, confusion, fear, and depression all at once. She took a deep breath in, wiped her tear, and then jumped through the window. When Lauren landed on Camila's bedroom floor, Camila finally looked up from her hands.

(Camila's POV)

"What are you doing, Laur?" Camila uttered, mentally slapping herself when her voice cracked near the end.

Lauren didn't reply, all she did was wrap Camila in a tight hug. Camila felt her heart swell, and as much as she wanted to push Lauren away, she just couldn't.

Camila wrapped her arms tightly around Lauren's waist, shut her eyes, and let her head lean on Lauren's chest.

"I'm not letting you slip away, Camz. You're my Camz, and I'm your Laur. We belong together. No matter who we are in any other life, or whatever, we'll always find each other. I will always learn to love you endlessly" Camila still had her eyes shut. She didn't want to leg go of Lauren. She never wanted to let go of Lauren.

"Don't let me slip away, Laur" Camila whispered, tightening her grip around Lauren's waist.
