(Lauren's POV)

Lauren quickly made her way back over to her house. Kate had told her that she needed more pics of Spidey for her daily newspaper column. Kate was doing her part of their deal really well, keeping Lauren's actual appearance a secret. Lauren has even noticed that Kate is going along with the Friend or Foe thing in her column of the newspapers. Which, as much as Lauren hates it, is helping with their little charade.

"Hey Auntie, I'm gonna go out for a little while" Lauren said to her Aunt, who was currently occupied with the news on the TV.

"Okay, stay safe" Lauren's Aunt said, still staring intently at the TV screen.

"I will. I'll see you later" Lauren said, giving her Aunt a peck on the cheek before finally making her way up to her room. Once she made it in her room, she grabbed her Spider-Man suit from out the closet and shoved it in her book bag. Slinging her book bag over her shoulder as she made her way out the front door to meet Kate on the usual rooftop.

(Camila's POV)

"What if she ends up liking her more?" Camila sobbed into Ally's shoulder, the other two rubbing her back in an effort to comfort her. Camila knows that she shouldn't be crying over Lauren, also knowing that Kate might just be a friend, but she couldn't help it. She couldn't help crying over Austin, and now she couldn't help but cry over the fact that Lauren might have another special someone.

"Camila, I mean you heard her yourself. Lauren said that she was gonna ask you to be her girlfriend later" Normani said, they've been trying to comfort Camila for over 10 minutes now. They all hate seeing her like this. Camila was always the cute, quirky one from the group and they always instantly miss their Camila whenever she got sad.

"I know, but but what if she actually does like Kate?" Camila asked, saying the girls' name with a grunt. Camila knew that it could be platonic, but she also couldn't help her suspicions. If you look at it Camila's way, you could probably see why she's jealous too.      Lauren has never mentioned a Kate to Camila, Lauren's face when she saw Kate's name on her phone turned into an instant look of worry, Lauren didn't tell them why she had to leave, Lauren didn't even say goodbye to Camila, and she looked like she was in a rush to go. When looking at it that way, you have to admit that it makes the whole situation seem quite suspicious.

"There's no way she likes this, Kate, more than you. You're the most adorable, funny, kind-hearted, angel that has ever set foot on this planet. So, even if Lauren does like Kate more, she's missing out on one hell of a gal" Dinah said with finality. Dinah was always the one to cheer them up with words like that. Camila smiled, even though she was still upset, Dinah's words always managed to make any of them smile.

(Lauren's POV)

Lauren let out a breath of exhaustion through her mask. She rolled up her sleeves and checked the time, seeing that it was now 5:00 PM. Lauren had the whole day planned out, but now, she was about three hours behind schedule and she hasn't even set up the date yet. Not to mention, it's Sunday, so she has school tomorrow.

"Alright, one more pic and then you can go" Kate said, making Lauren sigh in relief. Lauren was nervous yet excited. Excited because she couldn't wait to ask Camila to be her girlfriend. Nervous, because she knew the likeliness of Camila saying yes was probably 99.9% out of 100.

"Alright... you are now.... free to go" Kate said while looking through her camera roll. Lauren looked around to check if anybody was at the bottom before carrying Kate and quickly dropping her off on the ground. Lauren quickly slung back to the roof top to finally start setting up.

(Dinah's POV)

They were all now gathered in the living room, the news playing in the background of their conversation. Dinah, Ally, and Normani were slowly growing more and more concerned when they would peek out the window to check if Lauren was home, and she wasn't every single time. Camila still had her head on Ally's shoulder, she stopped crying a long time ago but she was still very upset. Evident from the pout on her face. They were all growing increasingly angrier at Lauren for not explaining who Kate was. At first, Dinah had found it quite ridiculous that Camila was crying over a simple phone call. Now, though, she's starting to grow more frustrated at the green-eyed girl, understanding that Camila has every reason to be upset.

"It'll be fine, Camila" Normani said, trying her best to cheer up her best friend, even though she was growing suspicious herself. Dinah became red with anger when Camila just stayed silent, looking more lifeless than she has ever looked in her entire life.

*Knock Knock Knock

The silence was interrupted by a knock on the front door. She grew confused when she looked out the window and Camila's parents' car still wasn't home. Who da heck could it be, Dinah thought while walking over to the front door to answer whoever was on the other side.

When Dinah opened the door, her blood instantly boiled at the sight of Lauren standing at the front door, a vase of white chrysanthemums in hand.

"Hey, Dinah" Lauren became 110% confused when Dinah snatched the vase from her hands. She watched with eyebrows furrowed as Dinah lifted the vase, and poured the water over her head, trying her best to keep the flowers in the vase.

(Lauren's POV)

Lauren ducked her head and just let the cold water fall onto her. She could just easily smack the vase out of Dinah's hand, but she doesn't want to make the Polynesian any angrier than she already is.

She stood there, soaking wet and freezing cold, with her head ducked and her hands held out from shock. Not having a single idea why Dinah just did that. She heard footsteps and instantly knew that Ally, Normani, and Dinah were all under the doorway, giving her a death glare. Lauren was hoping one of them would explain, because she if she said a single word, she would probably break down in tears.

"Lauren!!??!!" Lauren heard Camila call from inside the house, voice cracking near the end, causing Lauren's head to snap up. Standing under the doorway was Camila, with puffy red eyes, and tear stained cheeks.

"Maybe you should go, Lauren" Normani said, being a lot more subtle than Dinah. Before Lauren could respond, the door shut right in her face.

She stood there, soaking wet, absolutely freezing, still facing the door, in the middle of the night. Soon after, she realized that it's probably best that she leaves, even though she has absolutely no idea what's going on.

When she walked back into her house, she saw her beloved Aunt Clara asleep on the couch. She wrapped her Aunt in a blanket, carried her up to the master bedroom, and tucked her into bed.

She walked into her bedroom and as she was closing her door, she glanced at the window and saw that Camila's window shades were closed. Making Lauren fully understand that they really don't want to see her right now.
