(Camila's POV)

Camila was now sitting next to her parents on the living room couch, trying to think of how to tell them about Lauren. She was trying to think about ways to tell them as soon as Lauren and her became girlfriends, but she never was able to find the words to say. Okay, Camila. Come on, you got this. Just say something, Camila thought, heart beating faster and faster with every breath.

It's not that she's nervous to tell her parents that she's in a relationship. She's nervous to see their reactions about her sexuality. Her friends all know, but it's not that her parents ever asked. The only reason why she's already told her friends that she's bi-sexual is because whenever they would ask, she would say that she's 'open'. But her parents never ask.

"Uh-I just, I don't know how to tell you" Camila stuttered, mentally slapping herself for not being able to find the right words to say. JUST TELL THEM LAUREN'S YOUR GIRLFRIEND, CAMILA. IT'S NOT THAT HARD!

"What's wrong?" her mom asked, Camila could tell her parents were becoming worried as she flickered her eyes back and forth between the two. She felt herself getting even more nervous than she was before. Rubbing her hands on her thighs as soon as she felt her palms become sweaty from nerves. She was racking her brain on what to say, but she couldn't think of anything.

"Um-I'm-uh-" by now, Camila was really wishing that she never started this, but here she was, sitting on the couch, with her parents looking at her with worried and confused faces.

"You can tell us, Mija" her dad said, placing his hand on Camila's shoulder in an attempt to calm her down.

"I-um" Camila stuttered, trailing off once again. SAY SOMETHING, CAMILA! ANYTHING! JUST TELL THEM!

"LAUREN'S MY GIRLFRIEND!" Camila yelled, squeezing her eyes shut as she cringed from hearing only silence. She slowly opened her eyes, still keeping her mouth shut. As soon as she opened her eyes, she closed them again feeling her mom with her hands on both of her shoulders, shaking her with excitement.

"OH MY GOD, REALLY?!!? SHE'S SUCH A SWEET GIRL, CAMILA! OH MY GOD, YOU TWO ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER!" her mom exclaimed. Once her mom stopped shaking her, she reopened her eyes.

"She's a sweet kid, Mija" was all her dad said before giving her a thumbs up and leaving the living room. She looked back at her mom, who had a gigantic smile plastered on her face.

"Oh my god, I'm going to need a picture of you two, right away" was all her mom said before standing up and leaving the living room.

Camila just stayed sat on the couch, blankly staring at the spot her parents just were, as if they were still there. She couldn't believe her eyes, her parents had a way better reaction than she thought. Although, she didn't know what to expect, that was certainly better than anything she could have come up with.

(Lauren's POV)

*Ring

As soon as Lauren heard the first ring of her phone, she groaned. She didn't have much sleep the night before since she came home at 9:00 and had quite a lot of homework to do. Her Uncle's funeral was today and she was honestly dreading it.

Of course, Lauren and her Aunt were going to do their eulogies, which Lauren was not looking forward to. She was not looking forward to tearing up in front of everybody, she was not looking forward to seeing her Uncle for the first time in three days, and she certainly was not looking forward to seeing her beloved Uncle in a coffin.

She went down to quickly eat breakfast, then came back up to see what clothes she could wear.  Since the funeral was such a late notice to Lauren, she didn't have time to buy anything fancy. She never really owned any fancy clothing because she had never gone to many school dances or parties, so she never really had a reason. She decided to just go with a black shirt, black jeans, and black shoes.

Once she finished brushing her teeth and freshening up, she lazily walked over to her door. As she was reaching over to her doorknob, she heard faint yelling, She looked to her window and saw Camila in a black dress, trying to get her attention through the window.

"HEY, BEAUTIFUL" Lauren said, mentally high five-ing herself for making a slight blush appear on Camila's cheeks. Even though this was bound to be a sad day for Lauren, she couldn't help but smile seeing the adorable look on Camila's face.

"SO-UM-I'M COMING TO THE FUNERAL" Camila said as her smile fell into a slight frown.

"AND I WAS-UH-WONDERING IF I COULD COME WITH YOU AND YOUR AUNT, MAYBE. I DON'T KNOW, IT WAS JUST-YOU KNOW-I WAS JUST WONDERING" Camila stuttered, rubbing the back of her neck, obviously out of nervousness.

"YEAH, OF COURSE" Lauren replied, feeling happy that she won't have to wait until the funeral to see Camila again, even though the funeral was in literally 15 minutes.

"LAUR! IT'S TIME TO GO" Lauren heard her Aunt call from downstairs. With that, she gestured for Camila to meet on the driveway before closing her window and rushing downstairs.

"Hey, Auntie. OOOHHHH, look at you! WELL YOU'RE LOOKING QUITE FINE IN THAT DRESS" Lauren exclaimed, making her Aunt burst out laughing.

"Oh, would you keep it to yourself" her Aunt said after her laughing fit, making Lauren let out a small chuckle.

"Hey, you're gonna let Camila ride with us, aren't you?" Lauren said, snaking her arms around her Aunt's waist from behind. She let go as soon as she felt her Aunt starting to turn around.

"Oh no. She is not riding in my car" her Aunt said, before Lauren could speak up, her Aunt held up an index finger to stop her.

"Cause I'm gonna drive alone in my car and you two are gonna follow me in your car. Now come on, we gotta go" Lauren's Aunt winked, leaving through the front door before Lauren could respond. How did I get such a cool Aunt?

As Lauren's Aunt got in her car, Lauren finally walked out and saw Camila. As soon as they locked eyes, she couldn't help but smile. The wind was blowing on Camila's hair, and her skin was somehow glowing.

"Hey, Laur" Camila said quietly before walking over and giving Lauren a hug. As soon as Lauren met the warm embrace, she quickly gained her confidence back. She wrapped her arms around Camila's waist and easily lifted Camila off the ground. Camila laughed into Lauren's neck as she spun them around before placing Camila back on the ground.

"You're so beautiful" Lauren whispered, leaning her forehead against Camila's.

"You're adorable" Camila whispered back. Before Lauren could respond, they were startled by her Aunt honking her car horn, making them both slightly jump and turn around to look at her.

"Come on, lovebirds. Laur, just follow my car" her Aunt said, making them both laugh before they finally let go of each other and headed to Lauren's car. Lauren held the passenger door open for Camila before running over to the drivers side and buckling her seatbelt.
