Awake My Soul.

The strong sweet aroma filled my nostrils before my eyes could fully open. It was the smell of grandma's in the morning.

Pancakes, eggs and if I was correct bacon. I sat up the slightest to see I was alone. I let out a loud drawn out yawn getting out of the soft mattress.

My weak unequipt legs struggled to walk over to the bathroom. I opened the shut door to see I was happily alone.

I rubbed my crusty eyes turning the faucet splashing water onto my face. After a good face wash and a teeth brushing I no longer felt drowsy.

I got out getting slightly dressed walking out into the world. From the ruckus downstairs I could tell once again I was the last to wake up. I crept down the stairs and Avery was the first to notice me.

"The grunge girl is up!" Avery said happily she sat over a large stack of pancakes putting berries on top.

Spencer stood flipping pancakes talking with Mickey while a shirtless Josh sizzled bacon.

"You can help get out the stuff from the fridge." Avery said realizing I looked lost.

I opened the fridge grabbing whipped cream, blueberries and orange juice not noticing how packed the fridge was. "Babe how much bacon do I make?" Josh asked hovering over the hot pan.

"Make it all." Mickey said before she could respond.

"What about late night bacon babes?" Spencer asked with a small pout.

"Babe, we need to restock the fridge." Avery added.

"Yeah, we are out of pickles." Mickey said with a hint of sorrow in his voice.

"Who is going cause I went last time and never again." Avery said.

"I will. I'm going out of town anyway." I said speaking up.

"Leaving again Colven." Josh said with a hint of humour in his voice.

"I am going to see my dad." I said putting various condiments on the table.

"Well, someone changed ends." Avery said giving me a small supportive smile.

"Do you want me to drive you?" Josh asked with all seriousness.

"I got her." Spencer said flipping a pancake. "I'm on a roll today anyway, and girls always pick up the wrong kind of frozen pizza."

"Stuffed crust with sausage and pepperoni?" I said with question.

"Do you really count as a girl?" Spencer said with a small smirk.

"Stop with the flirting Bo is underage." Avery said covering Bo's ears, who sat obediently beside her.

"Can we eat now I'm bored of watching shirtless men cook." Mickey said sitting across from Avery.

"That's a first." I said sitting besides him.

"I'll start working out later I swear weasel." Spencer said putting another plate of regular pancakes on the table.

"After the full week of bacon babes you should be fine." Josh said with sarcasm.

"What the hell is a bacon babe?" Avery asked innocently.

"Jesus, please don't get them started." Mickey moaned filling his plate.

"Bacon babes are bagels, cream cheese, bacon, another layer of cream cheese, and bagel. And the creater is sitting right beside you." Spencer said referring to Josh.
