The Compromise

Being Jade West's girlfriend definitely was not the easiest job in the world. A shorter, tan girl took up the job and despite the work, the pay off was much more than worth it. Jade was a hard nut to crack in most situations, including meals, dates, TV shows, songs, and anything under the sun, but she made sure to never go past Tori's breaking point. Of course she could never admit this to the tan girl, but it was true. She just liked seeing Tori bug out, noting how cute it was each time in her head, and Tori didn't mind it. Easy is boring to them, and they gave each other a fair challenge in everything they did while still being able to genuinely love each other at the end of the day. It's a special, indescribable bond. However, there was only one issue that rose above all other issues between the two. Movie night.

Every Friday night Jade would go over to Tori's house at 6pm like clockwork. Ironically, this started when the pale girl showed up unannounced three times in a row with weird excuses like still being heartbroken by Beck, the next excuse was wanting to copy some homework, and the last was wanting snacks and then actually watching a movie with Tori after debating what to put on. Months later of bonding, spending time together, and admitting feelings, they officially became girlfriends, and continued their weekly movie night event. With the weekly movie night, the girls would continue to debate until one faithful rainy night.

"Okay okay! You know what? Let's make a deal." Tori crossed her arms and swiveled in her criss-cross position on the couch to face the green-eyed girl, interrupting their argument. "We watch one of my movies then one of yours, or vice versa. Then we cuddle." the tan girl stated firmly. Jade gave a sarcastic "tch" and then added "Awwwh little baby Vega wants to cuddleeeee" teasingly. Tori pouted and stared her down. "Fine, let's compromise. Three of my movies-" "Awwh!" the shorter girl interrupted."AND one of yours at the end. Then we can cuddle." she added. This somewhat pleased Tori, agreeing to the plan seeing as Jade liked to sleep with a cold temperature and cuddling hindered that; although she should like romantic contact with her girlfriend more than being cold Tori complained. "Deal" the tan girl said shaking Jade's slim hand. Jade smiled in victory and wrapped an arm around her spouse, using the other to flick through classic horror movies. Eventually Jade settled on Rosemary's Baby, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Blair Witch Project.

After those three hell fests, Tori, being the more (correction, the only) weak-stomached girl of the two, was completely disheveled and shaking in fear under the arm of her partner who was desperately fighting the urge to laugh at her. She failed pretty miserably at that though. "Jade!" she whined, stilled terrified. The pale girl yawned ending her fit of laughter and peered at the clock which read 2:30 AM on the wall. "Alright well..I'm tired. Let's sleep." Jade stood up and stretched turning around to Tori. "We better cuddle.." the terrified girl said anxiously, following Jade and holding her hand walking up the stairs looking around the dark empty house. She was going to protest about not watching the movie she wanted to, but the tan girl was too afraid from the haunting movies she had just watched for the first time, unlike Jade who's seen them countless times before. The two slipped into Tori's room quietly, although it wouldn't matter as the house is always empty on Friday nights until Saturday afternoon. Tori quickly hopped into her bed and snuggled into the blankets and Jade layed next to her reluctantly joining her under the warm sheets. The shorter girl then wrapped her arms around her spouse and pulled her in close, Jade following suit and calmly stroking Chestnut hair. "You just wanted to torture me so you could do this at the end of the night, didn't you?" Tori asked."I only did it 'cause I wanted to." Jade said smugly, earning a groan and giggles from the other girl. In the end, it turned out to be a very successful movie night.
