"Bye Mitch. I'm going to miss you!"
"Bye! I'm gonna miss you too. Love you." He said through the phone.
I could hear his plane being called for boarding so I quickly said 'I love you too' then ended the call.

The Maple Leafs had a game tomorrow against the Colorado Avs.
Of course the Leafs were going to win, but I was still going to watch it for the sake of my friends.

I decided to just go to bed for the night, since it was 11 pm.

'Goodnight♥️' I texted Mitch.
'Goodnight💕' He texted back.

I woke up to an alarm going off.
I looked at it.
"Oh!"
I jumped up and flipped on the TV, just in time to watch the skaters skate out.
"Let's go Leafs!" I said, aloud.

Mitch had the puck, he weaved in and out between the Avalanche players.
Nathan Mackinnon was right behind him and tripped him.
"What the fuck? You're not gonna call that ref?" I muttered, watching as Mitch slipped across the ice.
His right leg bent back behind him as it was crushed in between the boards in his body.
The whistle blew and I was in shock.
The doctor ran out, being helped by Auston.
Auston's face was just like mine. Pure shock.

"Mitch Marner here with possibly a broken leg that was bent behind him. He couldn't get up.
You can sure tell that everyone is shocked, even the Avs fans. Auston Matthews looks like he's trying not to cry as Mitch Marner is screaming out in pain. And they are calling for a stretcher!" The voice rang out.
I didn't know what to do.
The put Mitch onto the stretcher and wheeled him off the ice. Mackinnon skated over and said sorry before he was fully wheeled off.

I immediately called the doctor, who happened to be my friend
"Ella hi!" He mumbled, rushing around.
"Put the phone on speaker phone please." I cried.
"Heyyy Ella." I could hear Mitch mumble.

"What's the deal doc?" I ignored Mitch.
"Broken leg, I'm gonna have to put him in a brace and then crutches soon after."
I nodded.
"Okay. Mitch are you okay?" I asked.
"I'm okay. Just in some pain. I'll be fine though."

I nodded.
"Okay. I love you."
I was trying to not sound worried, for Mitch's sake.
"I love you too." He moaned.
I ended the call and sat with my head in my hands.
What just happened?
