I lounge on the couch, playing on my phone, when I hear footsteps. I look up to see Calix walking in, and I look at him concerned, due to the terrorized look he wears. "What's wrong?" I ask him, standing up fastly. "Kate, I'm not sure what to say." He states. "What is it? What's wrong? What happened?" I ask. "I love you, Olivia-" he says, but I cut him off. "But?" I ask. "Olivia, my love, I'm bad for you. I am a monster." He says, and I reach my hand up to hold his cheek.

"Calix, we have been over this. You are my true love. You are not a monster, my darling." I tell him. "I can't do this." He says, and I cock my head to the side. "Do what, my love?" I ask. "I must leave you." He says. I shake my head, but he pulls his arm away from him. "No. No, no, no, no, no." I say.

"I have to go. I'm not good for you. We're not good for each other." He says, and I look at him appalled. "No. You don't get to do that. Not after everything we have been through!" I say, and see a tear fall.

He starts to walk away, but I call out to him. "If you take one more step we are done!" I threaten. "Kate-" He starts. "Don't call me that. You don't get to call me that anymore." I whisper, a tear falling. We make eye contact and another tear of his falls. "I'm sorry, my wife." He whispers. The air moves, and I see that he's gone. I wince at the whoosh, and realize what happened. The tears start falling faster then I like, and I feel my legs crumble underneath me.

Niks POV
I stand on the balcony above the courtyard, and see Kate fall to the ground. I don't want to do this, but I have no choice. With Daliah coming, Olivia needs to part from my family. I don't want her associating with my Psychotic family. I knew if I explained it to her, she would be stubborn. I do love her fierceness and stubbornness, but it sometimes causes trouble.

I don't want to loose her. My wife. My love. I already did once. However, I will always choose her happiness over mine.

I turn my attention back to Kate, and see her now sitting on the couch, her cheeks cherry red, tears subsiding in the lids of her eyes. I see her sitting "criss cross applesauced", as she says, and her hands dig into her hair. A habit she has when frustrated or sad.

"This is the best thing for her." A voice says from my side. I turn to see Marcellus and Elijah walking up to me, and sigh. I look back at Kate, then back to them and nod. "Will she be okay?" I ask, already knowing the answer. "She won't,...... but she'll get there." Marcellus says as we both observe the twenty-three year old. I nod, and sigh. My love. Slipped through my fingertips once more. All because I couldn't protect her.
