Chapter 23 - Deal

Hanging out with Kiera always been a chaos since she's an actress and a model. Everytime I go out with her, paparazzi following us like ants. They're asking questions non-stop even though our bodyguards already keep the distance between us and them.

The whole America already know about my relationship with Caleb and they still wanting to know it from my mouth. They kept asking me and Caleb again and again when there's clearly a statement from our side.

Even some talkshow asked Kiera about and Kiera just don't answer it. They already got out pictures when me and Caleb hanging outside but still they want us to answer everything. They even called us the 'IT' couple and I don't even know why.

"I'm so tired hearing the same question again and again." I said as I put my tea down.

"Duh.. They just want attention and want to boost their ratings up." Kiera said as she put down her fork.

"Besides we already made an official statement but still.." I sighed and Kiera chuckled.

"Serena, everyone wants to know us. We're the Kadarshian in the modern era. The fact that we keep our life private makes them curious."

"I even saw some fanpages of me and Caleb." I said laughing because that's quite odd for me.

"Ugh.. they even shipped me with my coworker. They kept commenting ship names and everything. I mean I' ignoring them but still it's quite uncomfortable when you're in a relationship and they want us to be with a different person." Kiera rolled her eyes.

"I mean.. me and Caleb are not on the entertainment industry like you but they have this spotlight on us everytime. I went to a concert last week and they were looking at us like we're a virus or something." I hissed.

"They just love us and curious. You'll over it soon.. I mean you're dating a Lemiere and there's a lot of girls wanted to kill you for stealing their man." Kiera said in a funny and weird tone making me laugh.

My phone vibrates and there's a text message from Caleb saying that he's 2 minutes away. I took a sip of my tea and then got up from my seat.

"I'll see you next week." Kiera said.

"Yeah.. take care." I said because she's going to Australia to shoot something. I left the brunch restaurant and walked out with one of the guard. Paparazzi were taking photos of me and asking some questions about my family and my relationship.

I saw Caleb's car and I'm waiting for him to stop in front of me. The guards stopped the paparazzi from getting closer to me and Caleb's car stopped. I got inside and Caleb drove away quickly.

"Hey babe." Caleb said and I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"You must be so tired." I said as I patted his head.

"I'm okay but we have to rush to the meeting now." He said and I nodded. We have an emergency meeting for the Lemington suddenly, Matthew called us and wanted us to go to the office immediately.

"I wondered what's wrong? I thought we're doing okay." I said completely confuse because it's quite unusual. We usually always keep everything on update.

"I don't know either." Caleb commented and I looked outside the window.

"Don't tell me that someone robbed our store and then-" I panickly open my phone and Caleb held my hand.

"Serena, don't panic like that! You freaked me out!" He said and I closed my eyes taking a deep breath calming myself.

"Sorry.. I was just.. it's millions of dollars, babe." I said.

"I know but let's just hear my dad out first. There's no news about robbing or something like that so chill." He said as he caressed my hand.

"How's with Kiera? Did you have fun?" He asked.

"Well.. a lot of paparazzi. She picked a wrong brunch restaurant. It's clearly outdoor and a lot of them taking picture of us and asking questions."

"You know Kiera, she loves attention." Caleb said and I agree with that totally.

"Yeah, I know. She will go to Australia tomorrow until next week shooting something."

"As usual.. the busy Kiera." Caleb said and not long after that, we arrived at the building. We got inside quickly and go straight to the meeting room. Matthew was sitting alone and we both sat in front of him waiting for him to talk.

"Dad?!" Caleb looked at him weirdly.

"We did it!!" He suddenly stood up and did a little dance. Me and Caleb looked at him confuse.

"I did it.. I win the bet!" He said pointing at Caleb and Caleb turned to me.

"What bet?" I asked.

"I got the deal with Zu Song Bi!" Oh.. the Chinese businesman.

"Oh that deal.. dad, what if he gives us fake diamonds? He's Chinese.. Made in China is all fake." Caleb said and I smacked his arm.

"Watch your mouth.. he's a Chinese-American. He was born in Ohio." I said flatly and his dad even looked st him bored.

"You said it was an emergency!" Caleb hissed.

"Well.. it means.. you take care of my job for the rest of the month. I'm going on a cruise with your mom for 2 months so.. adios!" Matthew said and then he left. Caleb sighed.

"When did you make that bet?"

"2 years ago.. maybe."

"And your dad remembers?"

"I remember it too but I never think that it will end up like this." Caleb pouted and I chuckled. I cupped his face and gave him a peck on his lips.

"You're so cute." I said and he leaned to me to kiss me. He pulled me to his lap to kiss me deeper. He sneaked his hand under my shirt caressing my bare skin.

"It tickles!" I said when he poked on my waist.

"Wanna stay at my apartment tonight?" He asked as our nose touch.

"If you cook me a steak.."

"That's a deal, babe."
