Chapter 10 - Got Crazy

5 years later..

I stretched my arms up and body to wake me up. I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I walked back to my bed and played with my phone. Today is the day where the Gold Lifes will officially open a new company so we will have an event in 3 hours.

I got up and walked down to have my breakfast. I took my cereal out and my milk from the fridge. I put it in a bowl and started to check on my social media again.

"Serena?! How can you be here? Go take a shower!" My mom said when she came downstairs.

"Chill mom.."

"The brunch is at 11, Serena. It's 9!" My mom and my eyes widen. I finished my cereal and gave the empty plate to my maid. I ran upstairs and jumped into the shower right away. I quickly took a showet and dried myself. I put on my makeup and curled my hair.

I walked into my bedroom and took my short white dress. I put it on and looked at myself at the mirror. I smiled because I'm quite proud of myself to find this beautiful dress. I sprayed some perfume and put on my earring. I took out my highheels and walked out from my room with a small bag on my hand.

I found my dad sitting in front his room wearing his shoes. He saw me and smiled.

"Hey pumpkin, you look beautiful." He said as he got up. He walked up to me and kissed the top of my head.

"Thanks, dad." I said.

"Where's Zion?"

"He already left first." I raised my eyebrows and at the same time, my mom walked out from her room. We walked down and got into the car right away because if we don't go now, we will be late. I looked outside the window and sighed.

"Serena.. are you okay?" My dad asked and I turned to him smiling.

"I'm fine, dad."

"You look so tired lately, take a rest dear." My mom said trying to cheer me up.

"It's just work, mom. No worries." I said.

"I know.. I don't like saying this but.. go on a date, have fun because you don't look that lively ever since.. shit!" My dad hissed when he knew the cause. He sighed and my mom tried to calm him down.

"I tried and if I keep doing it.. I will end up in bed with them just to fill my loneliness." I said and chuckled dryly.

"Please dad, I don't want to talk about it." I added and I closed my eyes. For the past 5 years, I live my life like I used to. Still bubbly, still having fun and partying but the difference is that I don't involve any boys in my life for the past 5 years. Yes, Serena.. the girl who used to love to sleep around is single for 5 years.

I changed a lot for the past 5 years, I turned into a more mature woman, tried to be as friendly as possible to people and I tried to stay at home a lot. Once, I didn't even go out from the house for a week. I asked my friends to come instead of me going out. I worked out and trained a lot to relieve my stress.

Sometimes I think about Caleb but I always ended up crying and crying which is not fun. It was amazing that the Lemiere can cover everything about Caleb in everyway. There's no news.. about him. No one knows where he lives except his family. Matthew even kept it as a secret from us and I bet Caleb wanted that.

"We're here, sweetie." My mom said and I nodded. They walked out and I followed them. We met a couple of people on our way inside and I greeted them.

Today is the Gold Lifes' new company is out. The new company is called The LEMINGTON and it's a diamond and gold mine. This year, we're expanding our wings much more bigger and next year, I'm planning to quit my modelling career to take over the new company.

I took a glass of champagne and walked inside the venue. It's a garden brunch kinda thing and I sat down near the pond because now, I'm not that interested to socialize.

Suddenly I heard a lot of people cheering but still I don't want look or care about it. Maybe they invited someone famous to entertaint us. I drank the champagne and looked at the fishes.

"Caleb!" My eyes widen and I immediately stood up. My eyes fell on Caleb who walked into the venue. People were hugging him and everyone went up to him except me.

Everyone was so excited to see him, literally everyone hugging him and cheering him. It's because everyone misses him. He didn't come home for 5 years and of course everyone wanted to see him. I can't even see him clearly. I automaticly started to back off.

I know I was supposed to be excited and even apologize to him but I found myself trying to runaway. I looked around to find a way out. I walked out from the venue through a small door on the corner of the room. I slowly walked out from the venue and took a really deep breath.

"Why am I acting like this?" I said and I walked towards the car. I wanted to ask my chauffer to take me home because the idea of Caleb being here will make me cry like an idiot.

"Serena." My body froze when I heard Caleb's voice calling me. I turned my head slowly to him and my eyes widen when I saw he changed a lot. He got a thin beard and his body is much more bigger and fill with muscles. I feel like he matured a lot when he's in Canada.

"Wow.. uhm.. long time no see." I said awkwardly and I can't even look at him in the eye.

"I looked for you inside but.. I see you're trying to runaway." He said chuckling and I nodded.

"Are you back for good now? Or going back to Canada again later on?" I asked.

"Do you want me here or.. go back to Canada?" Why is he asking me? That's his decision.

"You decide.. why me?" I said.

"Do you want to go inside or you still want to go home?" He asked and I looked at my car. So is he staying or not?

"So are you staying here or not?" I asked frustrated waiting for his answer.

"If you want me to stay then I will, if you don't want it.. they I'll go back to Canada." He said.

"Caleb! What are you doing?" I heard someone called him. He turned and asked whoever that is to wait.

"Serena.. it's your decision."

"Stay." I said in a small tone.

"Then I will.. let's go inside." He said as he gestured me to go in.

"I'll pass." I said.

"You want me to.. take you home?" He asked and I shook my head. I opened the door and my chauffer ran to the car right away.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow for lunch."

"No." I said shaking my head.

"Then it's your choice then." He said and I swear he's making me frustrated. He turned his body walking away and I took my heels and threw it to his back. He turned his body to me confuse.

"Listen asshole! Do you think by disappearing for 5 years.. I will be okay once you appear again?" I bursted angrily.

"No.. I know that you won't be okay, Serena." He answered in a calm tone.

"Yeah.. I'm not okay! I got crazy!" I hissed and I opened the car door.

"Sorry." He said and I got into the car. I asked my chauffer to leave the venue.
