Chapter 28 - Punch

Ever since Caleb knows that I'm pregnant, he became so protective over me. He literally brought my breakfast, lunch and dinner to my room. He didn't let me go to work. He even rent me a nanny to watch and help me when he's working. He give all his abroad work to Isaac and Chase which made them questioning him.

Now, it's only me, Zion and Caleb who knows that I'm pregnant. We're still don't want to tell others yet, we wanted to wait for the baby to turn 8 weeks. I have an ultrasound appointment tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, we will have a dinner and I'm planning to announce it there.

"Babe, I bought your favorite pho." I heard Caleb walking into his apartment and I walked out from his room.

"Really?" I asked and he showed me the plastic.

"Yup.. let me prepare it for you." He said as he put all the plastics on the kitchen table. He rolled his sleeves and he heated the broath again.

"I never imagine that.. you will.. you know.. accept the baby." I said and he turned to me raising his eyebrows.

"Okay.. what makes you think that I don't want it? I'm making Cesantion-Hastington-North and a Lemiere baby." He said and I looked at him flatly.

"I hate you." I said in a small tone as I sat on the chair facing the kitchen. Caleb laughed and he walked to me.

"I'm kidding.. I'm excited." He said as he kissed my forehead.

"Have you eat?" I asked.

"No.. not yet. I bought this to eat it with you." He said and I smiled.

"Oh.. what will my parents react?" I said worried and Caleb held my hand calming me down. He walked back to the stove and prepared my pho. He pushed my bowl to me and he sat beside me with his bowl of pho.

I started to eat and wow.. I feel like I'm in heaven. It's so good and really giving me that homey vibe. I always love eating vietnamese food, they always bring the homey vibe in every dish that they have.

"This is really good.." I said and I ate all of the meat. I turned to Caleb's and took his meat. Caleb looked at me speechless.

"Don't even try to argue with me." I hissed and Caleb just pushed his bowl to mine. I ended up eating all of it. I turned to Caleb and feel bad for him.

"I'll just Korean instant noodles." He said and he made it for himself. It smells so good and I can't help but drool. He put it into a bowl and he saw my face.

"One.. bite." I said as I showed my index finger. He looked up to the ceiling as he pushed the bowl towards me. I digged in completely forgetting that I only want one bite. He made another one and I looked at him sorry.

"Sorry babe.." I said and he pouted.

"You ate 3 bowls.. and that amazed me." He said chuckling.

"This pregnancy is turning me into an elephant."

"Cute elephant.. for our tempura." He said as he pointed at my belly. The baby bump is starting to show a little and I'm so excited for this.

"I don't want to name our baby tempura." I hissed and smacked his arm.

"Tempura is cute though." He kissed my cheek and then he continued to eat all his noodles. I walked ito his room and took a shower. I walked out in his shirt and sat on the bed. He walked inside shirtless and I looked at him speechless.

"Don't stare, babe.. I know I'm that yummy." He said and I rolled my eyes immediately. I gestured him to take a shower as I looked at my phone. I watched baby videos on youtube and how beautiful they are. I can't wait for baby to come soon but I also nervous about telling my parents.

I love this baby already but I don't know if my parents will take the news well. I went through my contact and stopped at my mom's name. I walked out from Caleb's room and dialed her number.

"Don't pick up.. don't pick up." She picked it up.

"Hey darling, I've missed you." I smiled when she said that.

"Hey mom, where are you?" I asked.

"Oh I'm on my way home from shopping, why?"

"Oh I was just.. uhmm wondering if we could talk on the phone for awhile." I said in a nervous tone.

"Of course besides I'm 20 minutes away from home. Is everything okay honey? I'm worried about you." She said and I broke down into tears. I felt so guilt hiding the pregnancy from my parents. They deserve to know first before everyone else.

"Oh my.. Serena? Are you okay?" She asked.

"Mom.. I'm sorry." I said.

"Huh?"

"I'm pregnant." I said truthfully and I'm so nervous waiting for my mom to reply.

"Oh my.." She's speechless.

"Mom?"

"Serena.. you're not a child anymore and I'm not that surprise if you're pregnant with Caleb's child." She said and I felt a little relieve.

"Sorry mom."

"There's nothing to be sorry of, Serena. You're not a 16 years old girl anymore so it's okay. You're an adult now and I think you're already ready to be a mom."

"Thanks mom, how am I going to tell dad?"

"He will understand, just come here tomorrow and talk to him in person instead on the phone." She suggested.

"Thanks mom."

"Welcome honey." After that she hung up and I felt Caleb hugged me from the back.

"Everything will be alright." He said as he kissed me on the cheek. I nodded and I think I'm being too overreacting.

"Serena.."

"Hmm?" I asked and he suddenly put a box with a ring inside in front of me. I gasped and turned to him that second. He kneeled down in front of me and I cried more.

"Please marry me, Serena Cesantio, because I want you to spend the rest of your life with me." He said and I nodded immediately. He hugged me tightly and I kissed him.

"It's so beautiful." I said as the put the ring on me.

"I love you." He said as he gave me a peck on my lips.

"I love you too.." I said and I hugged him again.

"We're going to take care of our tempura together." He said and I punched his stomach.

"If you dare to say tempura as our baby's name once again, I will beat the shit out of you!" I hissed at him and he nodded surrender.

"I still love you though." I kissed his cheek.

"Yeah.. you punched me right after I proposed you." He groaned in pain.
