Have some non angst. :)

This is a short story.... please don't kill me...

I twiddle with the fork on the table as I sighed, as per usual I had been stood up by her. I don't know why I'm so surprised either, I should've known this was gonna happen, but I always let myself down when it came to her. I have been waiting almost half an hour now for her to show. Which she never did, she told me to dress nice so I did. I wore a new blue dress, it was simple but cute. I could feel people staring at me, anxiety just grew within me. Believe it or not this wasn't the first time this had happened, almost every time she planned something it was just to humiliate me. The waiter had come by several times and had asked if I was ready to order, and each time I would say I was waiting on someone and ask for a few more minutes. Just hoping she would actually show up, however, nothing. As the minutes passed I felt more and more sympathetic eyes stare at me. I sighed once again as I lost all hope, as I was about to get up and leave with my walk of shame I saw someone sit down across from me. Someone I've never seen. I looked up and stared into their eyes.
"Sorry, Love. Traffic was crazy." She gave a small genuine smile. I stared at her, she had short blonde hair cut into a pixie type style, bright electric green eyes, when she smiled it showed her dimples. A small amount of freckles dotted her cheeks and nose. She wore a simple black dress shirt with a green tie.  "The names Peridot, just go with it, yeah? And by the way whoever didn't bother to show up is a dick." She whispered and I giggle and decided to go with it, because not only is she sweet and trying to help me out she also it the cutest person I've ever seen.
"I'm Lapis." I smile at the new blonde stranger and she smiles back. The waiter comes back with a smile, taking our order and then walking off. Peridot stares at me.
"You're gorgeous and whoever is stupid enough to leave you here by yourself needs some real help." Peridot chuckles and I blush lightly. The night was filled with cheesy jokes and smiles. I've honestly never had more fun, my time with Peridot was the best I've ever had. Each time she smiled I feel my heart flutter and every time she laughed I would have trouble breathing. If this is my reward for staying with Jasper and falling for all of her bullshit, then fuck I'd do it 30 more times just to stare into the blondes eyes. After a long debate on who was paying the bill for the food Peridot payed, despite my pleads. We walked out together and stood in the middle of the parking lot.
"Hey... Peridot?"
Peridot raised an eyebrow at me, "Yes?"
"Thanks..."
Peridot chuckled and smiled at me, "No problem... Hey... maybe. If you wanted... we could. Do this again?" Peridot blushed and stared at me with hope glimmering in her eyes. I smiled and looked at the ground. "Yeah.. definitely." I looked back up at her. Her face was completely red by now, she hesitated, but hugged me. I smiled and hugged her, she looked up at me and stood on her tip toes, since she was the shorter one of the two of us. Her face getting closer to mine, I felt my face get hot as she neared my face. I volunteered and closed the gap completely.
So now a perfect night ended with a perfect kiss.
