What makes the scene before that little amount of perfect is after they agree to do nothing and to stay friends is their hug
It's completely different to all the other hugs it's like those couple of minutes they can feel what it's like being with the other Tyler wrapping his arm round Jody laying on his heart like it's them knowing they want this to happen one day
Jody asked Tyler to make a promise to never have another girlfriend but her when the time happens for them...
Tyler makes a joke like why wouldn't he it's Tyler but he then makes her promise too that she won't get another boyfriend
They both promise eachother to one another for life it stating no matter how long they will wait there's only one person they want to be with for life and thats Tyler/Jody and it's a promise that it will happen when they are free to be together and nothing can split them apart.
