Malory POV:
I sighed as I kept looking for the right book.
"Twenty minutes left Maloriss." The secretary reminded me.
I groaned.
I'm not gonna find anything with that amount of time.
"Maybe if you'll tell me what you're looking for, I'll be able to help. I used to be the librarian in here before I got promoted." She suddenly suggested.
Umm... She might get suspicious...
But then again, I don't have much time and if the guy from the market was right and TinTin is in danger, I have to warn him! It's the least I can do after he helped me.
"Well... I'm looking for a book about ships." I told her and she raised an eyebrow, of course...
"Ships? What kind of ships?" She asked me, I got up.
"Ships from the 17th century from Charls The Second." I told her the information that TinTin gave to the seller instead of his false facts.
Madam Lanard hummed in thoughts.
"Follow me." She told me and I did.
We reached the end of the library and she walked me to a section at the end, right next to the wall.
"There are not a lot of books about ships in this library but I do remember a book that talked about ships from the time period that you mentioned.... Let's see... Oh! There it is." She pulled out an old book with blue wrap.
Earlier in the afternoon, TinTin POV:
What is it about this ship? Why has it attracted so much attention?
I returned home, tired, but eager to start looking for new information.
I put The Unicorn abour the cabinet and stared at it.
"What secrets do you hold...?" I thought out loud before entering my office and opening a drawer.
"Ah! Where is that magnifying glass?" I asked myself as I walked all around the office, looking for it.
"I could have sworn it was..." I mumbled as I openned a chest of drawers.
Not here.
"Snowy, You haven't seen the...?" I slowly stopped when I saw Snowy holding my magnifying glass in his mouth.
"Thank you." I said as I took and looked through it to make sure it's not dirty...
Only to meet a hissing, Siamese cat.
Snowy started to bark and run after him.
"No, Snowy!" I yelled and ran after the both of them.
The cat jumped on the sofa, underneath my coat, I tried to grab it but it jumped and made me stumble and fall with the sofa.
I quickly got up and saw the cat hanging on the chandelier, It landed right on my face and the impact of it jumping again made me stumble back.
Snowy followed it on the table as the cat knocked a tea set and quickly jumped away, making Snowy crash into a painting of a bull that I had and it fell off the wall.
The cat climbed up, using one of the curtains and ripping it with it's claws.
He was now on the bookcase and knocked a porcelain pitcher, I caught it just in time.
I hurried to put it on another shelf and followed the cat with Snowy, with his head in the middle of the now ripped, bull painting.
I groaned as I fell flat, Snowy landed in his bed and the cat left through the window.
Then I heard a thud...
I turned to look and gasped.
The Unicorn was now on the floor... and the main mast was broken.
I got up and slowly picked it up.
"Look what you did..." I took the mast in my hand and examined it.
"You broke it!" I said.
"Bad Dog!" I turned to look at him, angry.
What will the girl say when she'll see it?
Wait... The girl?
Why did she suddenly show up in my mind?
I don't think we'll see eachother again, the chances are not really big...
But who knows?
No One POV:
TinTin was so caught up in his frustration and thoughts that he didn't notice that the mast was hollow and it left a hole.
A little metal stick slipped through it and landed on the floor.
'What is that?' Snowy thought in curiousity as he started to sniff it.
"Oh well... I can probably get it fixed somewhere..." TinTin finally said as he walked closer the cabinet, accidently kicking the metal stick underneath it.
Snowy tried to reach it but accidently kicked the metal stick so far that it reached the wall.
He started whining as TinTin examined the model again.
"Something happened on this ship." He mumbled as he put The Unicorn back on the table.
He walked towards the sofa that was still lying on the floor and picked up his coat.
"And we're going to the one place that could have the answer." He said and turned to look at Snowy.
Snowy barked at him, trying to get him to help get the metal stick out.
"Come on, Snowy." TinTin said and Snowy sadly gave up and followed his owner out of the apartment and the building...
Not knowing that someone is using binoculars to look at the ship in the apartment.
(Heya guys! How was that? I hope you like it, Please leave a commeny and tell me what do you think, Love ya!)
