Malory POV:
When TinTin, Snowy, the dog and I have finally made it back to Marlinspike Hall, Snowy and the dog started to play together as TinTin and I searched for a way in that is not the main door.
I looked around mind-absently as suddenly I realized something.
"Oh Nuggets." I let out in sorrow, making TinTin turn to look at me.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"My uniform." I explained as I turned around and let him see it.
My High Class uniform was covered in mud from sliding down the hill when we escaped from the dog, I also noticed that a few places where my clothes got ripped.
I shivered when a gush of wind stormed at us.
TinTin left everything and took off his coat.
"Oh! You don't have to-"
"It's alright, I'm wearing warm clothes, well, warmer than yours at least." He informed me as he put the coat around me, hands out of the sleeves.
"Wait a minute! I know that symbol!" He suddenly called as he looked at the symbol that was sewed to my uniform.
"That's the High Class'. So that's where you are from, aren't you?" He asked as I smiled shyly.
"Guilty." I said as I pulled the sides of the coat closer.
"Now I understand the silk clothes. I thought you were insane for going out like that in this weather." He said with a little smile as he returned to search for an entrance.
"No. I'm only insane for escaping." I replied as I started looking around as well.
"I've never seen one of you, girls, before, what's it like in there? My newspaper wanted to interview some of the High Class' ladies once but Madam Jackline didn't allow it." He asked me in curiousity as we examined the walls, hoping to find a hole in them..
"Horrible. Trust me, TinTin, your newspaper could've tried burn the building themselves and they still wouldn't find an intresting thing to say about them. Oh! And please don't call me a lady, I'm not one and I don't intend to be one." I asked.
"As you wish." He said in distraction as he backed away from the walls.
"Well, it's offical, there's no way in aside from the main door." He informed me.
I hummed and looked a little up, noticing the upper windows.
"How about that window, up there? We can open it from the inside if one of us will slide his hand through the broken glass." TinTin looked up at the direction I was pointing.
"Umm... I'm not so sure, it's a little high." He said awkwardly.
"If you'll pick me up I think I'll be able to get it." I said logically, after all I'm lighter than him.
"I don't know..." He said, rubbing the back of his neck and still sounding embarrassed.
And then I realized and frowned in anger.
"Oh I see what's going on here... You don't think I can do that, do you?" I said, raising my voice a little.
"What?" He asked in shock.
"You heard me! You think I won't do that because I might get cut from the glass or something like that!" I said, doing a poor voice when I talked about the glass.
"No, I-"
"TinTin, I know what I'm doing and I can do whatever is needed!" I said in anger.
"It's not like that!" He said, holding his hands in defense and shaking his head but still very embarrassed.
I raised an eyebrow and slowly folded my arms.
"Then what's the matter?" I asked.
"It's just that... I... You're wearing a skirt..." He finally said and my eyebrows flew up together.
Oh... so it IS nothing like that...
I looked down at my skirt for a moment before looking back at him.
"So just don't look up." I said in an obvious tone.
TinTin was still blushing a little from embarrassment but nodded.
I took a breath and stood a little close to the wall.
"Alright, let's go." I said determently.
TinTin nodded and picked me up from my waist gently, setting me on his shoulder before putting his plams under my legs.
"Just scream if you think you're going to fall." He asked me and I nodded.
"1, 2, 3!" He called and I pushed myself from his shoulder and fought for balance.
I groaned a little when I bumped into the wall rather harshly.
"Are you alright up there?" TinTin asked but didn't look up.
"I'm fine." I reassured him and pushed myself away from the wall a little.
With one hand still on the wall, I used my other hand to slowly pass the glass and reached the handle.
"I got it!" I called in success and pushed the handle up, openning the window.
I checked for fragments on the window frame before hopping in.
Now to get TinTin in...
I took off his coat and slided it down while getting into a better position.
"Climb on, I got it!" I called him and my hands started shaking as I gripped the coat tightly while he climbed up.
He climbed in quickly and sighed in relief.
"You're welcome!" I said with a sweet smile and he just smiled back.
"Good job." He said and turned on the flashlight.
The room looked like it used to be a lovely living room, with couches, little tables and even a fireplace in it. But now it was full of dust and peeled wallpaper and everywhere I looked I could see wood, scaffoldings and more.
I froze when I noticed something. Like a human figure standing not too far from us but it was too dark...
TinTin nudged me.
"Come on, let's check the room there." He told me and with one last look of what probably was my imagination, we continued.
TinTin openned the door and peeked inside to see if there's anyone in the room before we both slided in.
That room was under construction as well only that in the middle of the room stood a table which on it was something in the shape of box, covered with a cloth.
TinTin and I walked forward and as I took a hold of the flashlight, TinTin took off the cloth.
And there stood the ship model!
TinTin opened the glass case and took the model out.
"Well, well, well. It seems like we've caught our theif." TinTin mumbled.
"Good! Now let's get out before we'll be considered as ones by the police." I told him and turned around.
"AGH!" I let out in pain as someone swung and hit me with something on the head really hard, making me lose balance, and after hearing TinTin groaning in pain and falling too, also my conciousness for a few moments as someone else stepped in and turned on the light.
(Heya guys! How was that? I hope you like it, Please leave a comment and tell me what do you think, Love ya!)
