Malory POV:
When I finally got my consciousness back fully, so did the pain.
I groaned as I held my head feeling a little bump in the spot where I got hit.
I watched as the one who hit us took the boat from TinTin's lap and a moment after that TinTin rose up, holding his head as well.
"Welcome to Marlinspike Hall. I see you let yourselves in." A familier voice said and a hand covered with red sleeve was held in front of me.
I looked up to see Red man, leaning on his cane as he held his hand out for me.
I took it and got up as TinTin got up on his own.
"I came to retrieve my propety." TinTin said and walked towards the hitter, how seems to be a butler, before putting his hands on the ship and pulling it towards him but the butler didn't let go.
"I'm sorry. I'm not sure I follow you." Red man said as the butler pulled the ship model towards him.
"Oh I think you do." TinTin said and pulled the ship towards him, "This ship was stolen from my apartment less than an hour ago."
"Are you sure?" The Red man asked.
TinTin seemed to be in doubt for a moment and the butler tried to used that moment of doubt to slowly pull the ship towards him again.
But TinTin snapped out of it and yanked the ship out from the butler's grasp.
"Of course I'm sure. I took it home, I put it on a cabinet in the living room, and then Snowy chased the cat and knocked it over, and it..." TinTin grabbed a hold on the main mast and tried to pull it but slowly realized something as he spoke.
"...fell."
Wait!
"Hold on! What? You didn't tell me that!" I said in shock, surprised that TinTin, out of all the people in the world, will break something so importent so fast.
"This isn't my ship." TinTin finally said as he turned to look at Red man again.
"No. Indeed." Red said as the butler took the ship from TinTin and put it back in the glass cabinet.
Wait!
"Hold on! Are you telling me that we've been caught in a robbery for nothing?!" I called in shock.
"Don't worry, Young Lady, I won't tell Madam Jackline about your night trip." Red man suddenly said to me and I froze, not really expecting an answer for that.
And an answer like that nevertheless... it sounded more like a threat rather than a joke...
"Umm... I'm not a lady." I said in a little shaky tone but not wanting his sentance to be the last in this odd conversation.
"I'm sorry. It looks so identical." TinTin suddenly said, still in shock as Red man locked his arm with TinTin's and started to walk him out of the room or at least trying.
"Well, looks can be deceiving." Red man said reassuringly as he kept walking TinTin out.
"Yes, indeed. But I don't understand," I was about to follow them when suddenly TinTin spinned back and started to circle the ship model.
"Why did Sir Francis make two ships exactly alike? And you have one already. Why do you want another?" TinTin asked and looked at Red man for a moment before kneeling down a little to scan the ship.
"What is it about this model that would cause someone to steal it?" TinTin asked the million dollars' question...
I hummed in thoughts, hearing their conversation with one ear as I started to remember something...
"-Was long claimed the ship was carrying a secret cargo..." Could it be that the Unicorn's history has something to do with what's happening now...? Sir. Francis made these ships and it sounds like they were really important for him...
"-This ship, as I'm sure you're aware, was once part of the estate." My wandering eyes suddenly noticed something...
Aside from the glass cabinet and the scaffoldings I noticed big hammers that are used for breaking walls at the corners of the room...
Only them...
Where is the rest of the reconstruction tools?
Wait! Is he...
"It's a pity, Miss." I shook from my thoughts as I turned to see the butler standing next to me but not looking at me but at TinTin and Red man.
"I'm sorry?" I asked in confusion.
"That the mast broke on your boyfriend's model ship, Miss." I blushed a little.
"It's a misunderstanding, we're just... friends, I guess." Honestly, I'm not sure what does TinTin think of me...
Oh! I don't think he likes me like that! But I don't know if he thinks of me as a friend either.
"My apologies, Miss. But I do hope he found all the pieces." He told me and turned to look at me with a serious look.
"Things are so easily lost..." He whispered to me, making me raise an eyebrow.
Was that... a clue?
I was about to ask him what he means when suddenly Red man spoke again.
"My my, why so many questions?" He asked with a little chuckle.
"It's my job. There could be a story here. That's what I do, you see." TinTin explained.
"Well, it's no great mystery. Sir Francis Haddock was a drunkard, and a hopeless reprobate. He was doomed to fail, and he bequeathed that failure to his sons." He said with a somewhat a satisfied smile.
"So it's true! The Haddock line is cursed." TinTin said and was about to start pacing around the room if it wasn't for Red man, stopping him by putting his cane on TinTin's shoulder like a sword.
"What else have you found out?" He asked darkly, making me stare at him with confusion at the sudden change of tone.
"What is there to find?" TinTin asked in curiousity as he pushed the cane off of him but Red man didn't give up and he put his cane behind TinTin's shoulders.
"That depends what you're looking for." Red man replied.
"I'm looking for answers... Mr. Sakharine..." I froze.
Sakharine? THE Ivan Ivanovitch Sakharine?! (Fun Fact: That's Sakharine's real name!)
"You're looking in the wrong place. It's late. I think you should go home. And as for you Young Lady, I suggest you'll start heading back to your High Class and stop with those sneak outs, after all we don't want you to get hurt now... Do we?" He asked and looked at me with a little dark smirk which made me stare at him unamused and yet somewhat terrified.
"I'm not a Lady..." I replied again, making him smirk, this time with a lighter one before he turned to look at the butler.
"Nestor!" He said, not nicely at all.
"This way please." He said as he gave TinTin his flashlight back.
"Come on, Snowy." TinTin called and Snowy hurried to join us.
"Oh!" I suddenly said before we left the room, remembering something as I turned to look at Sakharine and TinTin and Nestor looked at me.
"I really suggest you to stop talking bad on Sir Francis' family, it's not nice talking bad on someone who is dead." He chuckled a little and I just gave him a little mouth twitch before I turned to follow Nestor again.
(Heya guys! I'M BACK!!! How was that? I hope you like it! Please leave a comment and tell me what do you think, Love ya!)
