Malory POV:

The sun up above kept making a sweat that I couldn't wipe away slip down my forehead although my head was now covered by a white cloth I've found on the plane and my hair was now in a messy bun.

"The Land of Thirst. The Land of Thirst." Captain kept saying with each step, feeling for his throat.

"Will you stop saying that?" TinTin groaned tiredly, holding Captain's coat as he turned to look at me.

"Are you feeling better, Malory?" He asked for the who knows how many times!

I nodded slowly for the who knows how many times as well, lying of course, and let out a sigh as my feet stumbled in the sandy ground. My shoulder was now in a sloppy sling, made with the best effort by TinTin and created from his vest. But although he tried his best to set it, the shoulder kept moving a little, sending an agonizing pain of hundreds of needles through my skin in the area. I did my best not to show any signs of it since as we could see, Captain needed the help now.

At first TinTin insisted on carrying him on his own but I was having none of that! And so TinTin and I ended up supporting him from both sides for hours, which made the pain worse but I couldn't bring myself to let TinTin carry Capatin all alone.

"You don't understand." Captain stopped us from walking as he took his arm off me and turned to look at TinTin. I did my best not to show the relief and gratitude for that moment of freedom.

"I've run out. I've run out." Captain looked at the empty alcohol bottle he has been holding ever since we've left the crashing area and fell on his knees. then he looked up at TinTin and said dramatically, "You don't know what that means."

"Captain, we have to keep going." TinTin said as he grabbed the bottle from him, "One step at a time. Come on, on your feet!"

Captain slowly put his hand around TinTin's shoulders again and TinTin helped him up as he groaned out:

"Lean your weight on me." But Captain was still on his mind.

"A man can only hang on so long without his vitals." He said dramitcally as we started stumbling even worse than before.

"Captain, calm down. There are worse things than sobering up." I tried to cheer him up as I walked up to them and took Captain's other hand to help.

But after a few moments he suddenly let us go again and walked a few steps ahead of us as if he sees something incridible.

"Look! Tintin! We're saved. Water. Water!" He called happily.

Snowy, who up until now was walking around happily with a camel bone in his mouth, dropped his object and hurried to stop Captain by grabbing on to his shoulder straps.

"Stop! Captain!" TinTin called as we ran after him just as Snowy couldn't hold him back anymore and let go of the straps, sending him rolling down the send hill we were on, "It's just a mirage!"

"But it was here." He told us as we caught up with him and knelt by his sides, "I saw it."

"No Captain, It was just your mind playing tricks. It's the heat!" I tried to explain gently as I put my healthy hand on his shoulder.

"I have to go home." He suddenly said, still looking forward.

"What?" TinTin asked as we looked at him in confusion.

"I have to go back to the sea." He said again.

"Captain, you're hallucinating." TinTin tried to help me with convincing the Captain.

"Look. Did you ever see a more beautiful sight?" He asked and pointed at something far away from us that we couldn't see.

TinTin and I switched confused looks but didn't say anything as Captain slowly stood up and spoke like a seer about whatever he was seeing while his hand was slowly beind held out, as if trying to reach and grab the vision.
