As I looked out the window of my mothers Cutlass I couldn't help but think about Juice. I wanted too hit my head over and over again because it was frustrating that the "star head" man kept interrupting my thoughts every time I thought of Kyle. I wanted Kyle. I wanted too be with him. So why was it every time Juice called or randomly texted me my heart did a stupid flutter?

Gemma and my mother sat in silence during the drive to the pharmacy. They both would awkwardly smile at each then look out the window. I could tell they wanted to talk but they didn't dare say a word.

"So whose the guy your mother has been telling me about?" Gemma asked while turning her head. A small smirk played on her lips.

"Mom!" I exclaimed. "Really?!"

My mother began to almost choke on her spit at the boldness of the question. "Gemma!" My grandmother then turned too her with the same face. Except this time she threw her hands up in the air, almost too say she was "innocent." Gemma was never innocent. "I told you I would talk to her on my own terms!"

"Well now is a good time than any other time." She argued back. "You can't be hitting around the bush all the time, Tara. You gotta be straight forward with this one. Especially since she's Jaxs' kid."

"Guys -" I tried to splutter out. Why were we talking about this again?

My mother scoffed in disbelief as she looked both ways before turning into the parking lot. "She's my daughter too, you know? There's me in there . . . somewhere."

I thought about what she said in silence. "Hey! I'm both you and -"

I was cut off again as Gemma stifled a chuckled. "Baby, you are in her blood. But let me tell you something; Jax is more in her than you think. Unfortunately." Well I guess that's a compliment. I think. At least I wasn't thinking about Kyle or Juice now. . . shit!

I groaned and let my head fall backwards against the backseat. "Can you let me out yet?" My mother was circling the parking lot, doing her best to find a spot. "Seriously. You don't have too stop. I'll jump out." Wouldn't be the first time I jumped out of car. Or probably the last.

"Winnie. Knock it off." My mother scolded. "Gemma my daughter is more like me. Have you not seen her grades so far? She is getting straight A's!" I lowered my eyes at the comment. More like straight C's.

My grandmother rose an eyebrow. "That's all you got? 'She's like me because she's smart'? My granddaughter has a heart of a lion and I'm sorry to say this sweetheart but -"

"Alright, enough!" I finally heard enough of this. Both of them jumped at my sudden outburst. The two of them turned around and looked at me from underneath their sunglasses. My eyes bounced between both of their faces. "Geeze. You two are more alike than you think. Anyways. I'm like both of my parents. You wanna know why I'm half and half?! Because you both made me! Its scientific! So can we please, for the love of humanity! Drop. The. Subject." They both blinked slowly and then turned too look at one another. I sighed deeply. "Mom there's a spot next too that Van."

She slowly turned around and made a move too get into the spot. I jerked forward as she slammed on the brakes. "What the hell, asshole?!" Gemma shouted towards the blue car that had swept inside the parking spot I had just mentioned.

"Gemma." My mother said in quieter tone than what she had used a couple minutes ago. "Its fine. There's a spot in front right there. Have you been irritable lately?"

"Ha, ha." Gemma spoke in irritation. "You're hilarious Doctor Do-little."

My mother pulled into the spot and parked. As she unbuckled, she stared Gemma in the eyes. "Gemma, I'm being serious. Have you been. .. dry?"
