{Lina}

LINA HAD ALMOST emptied the quiver on her back when she saw Rachel running towards her. Putting her equipment down Lina waited for the girl to reach her.

"Lina. You need. To come. To the. Big house. Need. Your healing." Rachel gasped out. She was still winded from running to the Big House and taking off running almost immediately after.

Lina felt her eyes grow big in worry but before she could ask the redhead anything, Rachel had taken her hand and off they went, heading towards the Big House.

Arriving at the front door Lina immediately pushed the door open, her eyes scanning the room to see who needed her help. Her eyes glanced over Annabeth and Jason before settling on Piper's body. A small sound left the girl's mouth and she surged forward her eyes on her new target.

She saw Jason move protectively in front of Piper. Ignoring the sudden sting in her chest that was gone before she could process it, she glared up at the blonde.

"Move." Lina's voice came out strong and authoritative.

"I don't think that's a good idea what if you make it worse." Jason blurted out.

Gasps could be heard around the room and Lina's eyes slid shut.

"You have three seconds to move," Lina said through her gritted teeth. "If I open my eyes and you're still in front of me I swear to Apollo I will make you move."

Lina didn't need to have her eyes open to know that Jason was gawking at her, a surprised look on his face. She also didn't need to see that someone, probably Annabeth, had pulled the boy from in front of her. She could hear his small sounds of protest as he got further away.

Lina opened her eyes, she took a few steps forward and kneeled in front of the girl. She brought her arms out and put them over Piper slightly hovering over her.

Lina's hands glowed a soft yellow light as she held them over Piper's body. She hummed a small tune that helped her concentrate. Lina could hear Annabeth, Chiron, Jason, and Rachel talking in low murmurs.

When Lina finished healing Piper, she stood up. "Her mind was in a fragile state. What she needs now is some rest and she'll be good as new. I predict sometime before the campfire." Lina tried to smile but it didn't stay.

"Thank you my dear. As I was telling the others here I will be in my office. I need sometime to think before dinner. Rachel will you watch over her? And, Annabeth, you and Lina should talk to Jason. Tell him about—about the Greek and Roman gods."

"But ..."

Chiron turned in his chair and rolled off down the hallway. Lina could see Annabeth's eyes turn stormy. She heard the girl mutter something in Greek and Lina knew it wasn't anything friendly.

Lina smirked and looked down at the floor. She could hear Annabeth and Jason talking again but she could only concentrate on her hands. What if Jason had been right? What if I did make Piper worse or if something went wrong? Her mind was working in overdrive.

She could feel her hands clenching and unclenching, her eyes no longer focused as she got stuck deeper in her head.

Suddenly shaking brought Lina back. Annabeth was shaking her, a look of worry over her face.
