{Lina}

IF LINA HAD to sum up the chariot ride, interesting would be the best word to use.

She and Annabeth had been adjusting the navigation device when the boy with curly hair's, she found out his name was Leo, voice broke through her concentration.

"This is so cool!" Lina looked up just in time to see him spit out a pegasus feather which made her laugh. "Where are we going?"

"A safe place," Lina winced as Annabeth answered. "The only safe place for kids like us. Camp Half-Blood."

"Half-blood?" The girl with the the choppy hair asked. Lina searched her brain for the girl's name. Perry, no. Peanut, definitely not. It started with a P she knew that. Pipe, PIPER, yes that was her name.

Satisfied Lina smiled to herself but soon realized she had missed a bit of the conversation.

".... son of Iris, the rainbow goddess and Lina here is the daughter of Apollo, the sun god and god of a bunch of other things."

Lina grinned and gave them a small wave. "At least be nice and list those other things out Annie." she teased.

"Why don't you do it yourself." Annabeth shot back at her with a roll of her eyes.

Lina was just about to do just that and she opened her mouth ready until Leo beat her to it. "Your mom is a rainbow goddess?" he choked out.

Lina immediately smacked her hand to her face, of course he had to say something like that.

"You got a problem with that." Butch bit out defensively.

"No, no. Rainbows, very macho." Leo said.

"Butch is our best equestrian," Annabeth tried to defend him. "He gets along great with the pegasi."

Yeah, since Percy is missing I guess that makes him the only equestrian we have really. Lina thought bitterly as she glared at the skyline. She could feel eyes on her but she refused to turn.

"Rainbows, ponies." Leo muttered. At this Lina had to smile, it's like he couldn't help himself.

"I'm gonna toss you off this chariot." Butch warned the boy as Leo put his hands up in surrender giving him a meek smile.

"Demigods." Piper started. "You mean you think you're ..... you think we're—"

Lina was glad Piper hadn't finished that thought as her eyes narrowed dangerously at the girl. Lina was not glad however at what made the girl stop talking.

"The left wheel's on fire!" Jason yelled.

Lina nodded once at the boy however her attention was drawn to what was behind them. The storm spirits were back.
She gripped her bracelet tightly and spun the bow charm that was on it. Suddenly in her hand a perfectly balanced bow for her materialized and she could feel the quiver on her back. Taking an arrow she swiftly notched it and pulled the string back, taking a deep breath before releasing the arrow. Now had she been aiming at a perfectly solid monster that was not made of the winds, her arrow would have killed them instantly but instead the arrow shot right through the spirit.

Lina growled as she came to the conclusion that her arrows would not be helpful. She saw Butch flick the reigns out of the corner of her eye and was not surprised as the pegasi suddenly went much faster.

That only seemed to make things worse as Lina soon saw the wheels come off the chariot entirely and the chariot suddenly started dropping out of the sky.

Lina could see Annabeth and Butch try to maintain control of the chariot but she knew it wasn't gonna help. She glanced over at the newbies and she could see fear on all three of their faces.

Suddenly Annabeth's voice cut through the chaos. "The lake," she yelled. "Aim for the lake!"

"Annie, Will is gonna kill us both!" Was the only thing Lina was able to say before they hit the lake.

A loud boom was heard as she was thrown underwater. Lina knew she couldn't stay down there so she swiftly started swimming her way up. Lina could see the Nereids coming towards her and she let them push her the rest of the way up to the shore.

Lina stood up and shook herself off as campers arrived with blankets and air dryers. They blasted her with hot air and Lina was dry in less than a second. Lina looked back to see that all her companions were in similar conditions as she was. Dry and warm.

A crowd of campers gathered around the lake and Lina waved to a few of them. Some waved back. A few seconds passed however and the chariot they had been riding on landed on shore with a crunch that made Lina wince. She was in SO much trouble.

"Annabeth! LINA!" A voice called out through the crowd and Lina smiled sheepishly as she saw who it was. "I told you guys you could borrow our chariot not destroy it." He said giving Lina a glare.

"Sorry bro you know these things happen." Lina shrugged and gave him a half smile.

Annabeth sighed. "Will, we're sorry. We'll fix it I promise."

Lina looked sharply at Annabeth ready to counter what the girl had just said. A glare from those stormy grey eyes stopped her in her tracks.

Will scowled at the chariot before sighing and swinging an arm around Lina's shoulders. He looked at the three newbies, sizing them up. "These the ones? Way older than thirteen. Why haven't they been claimed already?"

His comment made Lina's hands clench. Were the Gods going back on their promise already. It hadn't even been that long.

"Claimed?" Lina heard Leo ask.

Before Lina could speak, Will asked them the question she was dreading most. "Any sign of Percy?"

Lina only could only shake her head, not at trusting her own voice.

"No." Annabeth admitted.
