Childhood Torment👧🏽⏰

"Me and like 12 others was the only survivors of the plane crash 3 years ago. Mom, John, Destiny and Tyler didnt make it out the crash. It was a really big storm and there was bad turbulence. Mom was just complaining about you to me for hours of the fuckin plane and it was irkin my nerves cuz you my lil sis and I hate hearing people talk bad on yo name, so I went to the bathroom and went on my phone for a good minute." Leonardo explains to me as I watch the trees pass by.

"Mhm" I hum signalling him to continue and that I was listening.

"Then long story short, our family was in the front of the plane when it crashed and I was in the back so when i felt the plane coming down, I left the bathroom and there was only 1 safety raft and I got put on it with about a dozen others while about 70 others died. I was put in the system til I turned 18 then I made friends and stayed wit them. When I found out dad was out, I went to find him then we came for you and here we are." Leo finishes taking a huge breath.

I wipe the tears that were forming in my eyes and opened my mouth to speak but nothing could come out, so I just stayed quiet.

"Where are we going? We've been in the car for hours" I ask my dad not taking my eyes from the window.

"We're going to where yall spent the first half of your lives." he says as he bends on some street.

I gulped down built up saliva as I thought about the horrid memories of my childhood. When my father was arrested, my mom getting assaulted by my fathers rivals, me getting kidnapped, Leo and my mom almost dying, and etcetera... Its gonna hurt to be back in that house where the pain really started. The source of where I get all my rebellious ways from.

"Yea, and our old friends still live near there. I can help you get readjusted." Leo says looking at me from the passengers seat.

"I miss my old friends." I say sighing, reminding me of Syda so I pull my phone out to text her.

Me: Hey..
Syda💕: Whos this?
Me: Autumn
Syda💕: Sorry, dont know a Autumn.. But she sounds like someone who'd move away and forget about her friends who were there for her through it all.
Me: I'm so sorry Syda! I've been going through so much, you wouldnt even understand😭
Syda💕: Try me
Me: Okay, Jahseh and me ran away and the system found out so i got put into another home right away. Then, I had just got adjusted and I finally was getting the perfect life that I wanted! I had two sisters, a mother who cared so much about me, a boyfriend, even a new bestfriend! And then I found out my father was out of jail and so he came for me. And with him, my brother Leo.
Syda💕: Leo? As in dead Leonardo?
Me: Not so dead after all, he survived the crash and I just found out today. I'm with them on the way to my childhood home.
Syda💕: Dang.. I guess you werent kidding.
Me: You damn right.
Syda💕: Autumn, Profanity!

"We're here." My dad says causing me to take my eyes off of my phone and to look out the window.  Everything looks the same, except there are 3 new cars in the driveway and the house looks much more bigger and much more boujee. Looks like when he was freed, he got all his savings back; or more.

"Wow.." I say unbuckling my seatbelt and opening the car door.

"Right?" Leonardo starts as he helps me out of the car and closes the door behind me. " Oh, and before you go in, just letting you know there's people in there."
