She sits on the raft she's built herself
And slowly drifts out to sea
She doesn't even know if it
Will last her the journeyShe's exhausted this poor island
And cut down all its trees
She's stripped it of all its fruit
And now she wants to leaveThe island creatures call for her
They want to leave too
Their home is in ruin
And there's nothing they can doShe says there isn't room
And that the raft would sink
The island creatures start to cry
And she almost double-thinksBut her mind is made up
And the tide is coming in
She just really hopes
That the creatures cannot swim
