*Dara
Noah, Ogeh and I walked home together yesterday. After our talk, she was in a much better mood.
Though, I couldn't stop thinking about what was going on with her. I hope she'll tell us soon so we can help.
"So what's the latest? What has been happening in your lives?" Ogeh asked us.
Noah spoke up first, "Well in mine, nothing much really. But there is someone I like though."
"Seriously?! Oh my God, how long have I been gone? Who is she?!" Ogeh asked excitedly and surprised.
"It's Sarah in Year 10," I responded for Noah.
"Oh wow, she's super nice and pretty!" Ogeh wiggled her eyebrows at Noah.
"I know right. We're good friends. I haven't just been able to tell her how I feel yet."
"I really think you should tell her yourself. It won't be a good idea for me to tell her for you," I sighed, finally letting it off my chest.
"Ahh! You sent Dara to tell her? It's never a good idea to send someone to tell your crush you like them. You should just go straight to her and tell her." Ogeh suggested.
Noah laughed, "I really don't know how. See, I'm not like all these American boys in romantic sitcoms that can say how they feel just like that. She's the first girl I've actually ever liked."
There was a moment of silence when all of a sudden, Ogeh blurted out, "Hmm, are you forgetting when you liked Dara?"
Oh no. Oh no no no!
This was a topic Noah and I felt awkward about. I don't know why but it always made the atmosphere less comfortable for us. I know he has moved on and maybe I have to.
Yes, I liked him too. That's in the past. We're older and like new people now.
"Oh my God! Ogeh stop, that was a long time ago and we were little jor." I placed my hands over my ears in embarrassment.
Noah laughed, easing the tension a little bit, "Yes I liked Dara a lot but I realized that her being my best friend is the best thing ever. I'll always have our friendship over anything else, always."
I placed my hands down and smiled at what Noah said.
"Besides, if we were something more than friends it really wouldn't last long you know? It'll be stupid." I added.
Noah's smile faded off. He looked in the opposite direction of Ogeh and I. His expression was blank.
Why? Did I say something wrong?
Ogeh laughed loudly, "Okay oo. But I still and always will ship #NoRa. Noah and Dara."
Noah and I chorused, "Stop it!"
Ogeh laughed again, "Okay fine, fine. But when it happens, don't say I didn't tell you."
We all chuckled at Ogeh's humor. This was the Ogeh we knew. I'm glad she was happier.
Ogeh's house was our first stop. We said our goodbyes as she walked towards her house.
Now it was only Noah and I left alone walking on the street. The street was so quiet and empty you could only hear the wind brushing against the leaves of the trees, the birds chirping and the sound of out feet on the tarred road.
It was really weird because of the conversation Ogeh brought up earlier. I know there's really nothing serious about it but it's a topic I'd rather not discuss for some reason. I don't know why.
"Sooo, thanks for trying to help with Sarah. You and Ogeh are right. I should tell her on my own and see what happens." He said breaking the silence between us.
"Of course, no problem. Ayyy, my bestie is becoming a big boy now oo." I said, teasing him playfully.
Noah and I live five to eight houses away from each other. My house was the first to reach so we saw each other off from there. He spread his arms open for a goodbye hug, as he usually does, in which I engulfed.
It was a little bit awkward, not gonna lie. I know the tension is going to disappear fast anyways. Let's hope and see sha.

Hmm, Dara and Noah?
Okay oo..
