Ogeh and I got up at about eight in the morning. Ogeh called Noah as soon as we got up while I went into the bathroom to take a bath.
After my bath, I wrapped my towel around me and made my way back into the room.
"Hm, so you called lover boy already ehn?" Ogeh queried with crossed arms as I entered the room. A knowing smirk was plastered on her lips.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, pretending not to know what she was saying.
Oh, I knew what was coming.
"Hase! Don't pretend oo. I know you called him, I saw your call log." She said, eyeing me playfully.
Dammit! The bad perks of giving your best friend your phone password - snooping!
"Before you get defensive and shit, I'm actually not angry," She shrugged taking a seat on the edge of my bed.
"For real?" I furrowed my brows.
I mean, obviously she was joking but normally, we always call Noah together on his birthday. It was sort of a tradition to be the first ones to wish him happy birthday.
But this year's was different. If you asked me why I decided to do it on my own without Ogeh included then I'll have no answer for you. I just..felt like, honestly.
Her eyes flickered round the room, "Nope, it's no biggie. I know you don't want me to hear you saying, 'Oh Noah, I love you' or 'Oh my God, baby,' She mocked in a childlike voice.
"That never happened!" I glared at her before taking a seat in front of my dressing table.
"Sure, sure," She said sarcastically.
Then after a few seconds of silence, she said, "I know you like him."
I whipped my head towards her and said once more, slowly enough for her to hear, "I. don't. like. him. Okay? Okay."
She rolled her eyes again and chuckles deeply, tormenting me bit by bit.
Why is Ogeh such a bully!?
I returned back to the mirror in front of me and plugged in the blow dryer in the power outlet right below the dressing table. I put the power on three and began hovering over my damp hair.
All of a sudden...
"Yes you do! You like him!" Ogeh screamed loudly into my ear causing me to startle from where I was seated.
I fell onto the floor with a loud thud. The blow dryer fell from hands along with my towel loosening from my body.
I'm left laying on the floor.. NAKED!
Ogeh stands in front of me laughing and mocking in all her glory. Ugh, she is so annoying!
I groan loudly expressing the anger bubbles inside of me. "Guy, I'm going to beat you, I swear." I picked myself up from the floor, wrapping the towel tightly around me.
"Catch me if you can!" Ogeh chuckled, grabbing her towel and toiletry bag before running into the bathroom. I chased after her and tried opening the door which she had quickly locked.
"Miss me, miss me," She laughed behind the closed door.
She's such a tease! I giggled to myself and returned back to my room to dry my hair.
