Um, this is a very RAW chapter because of the characters in this particular one. I'm putting a WARNING on it so beware!

Symptoms of Pregnancy:
1. Tender, swollen breasts. Your breasts may provide one of the first symptoms of pregnancy.
2. Fatigue.
3. Slight bleeding or cramping.
4. Nausea with or without vomiting.
5. Food aversions and crampings.
6. Headaches.
7. Constipation.
8. Mood swings. All these were the major symptoms of pregnancy that Google presented to me.
Two out of the eight were confirmed for me: Headaches and I guess, the Mood Swings.
That didn't mean those were valid reasons that I could possibly be pregnant. I barely experienced any of the other symptoms so, yeah.
But my period. My period had been absent for two months now and I was scared. Something could be wrong me. Even if I wasn't pregnant.
"No, no. Nothing is wrong. You're just tired," I muttered to myself, clenching my phone in both hands to my chest.
I couldn't decipher why my period was late but I sure knew I was stupid for not noticing sooner.
Sighing, I plugged my phone into its charger and re-wore my shorts and top. I placed my robe in my laundry basket, as it had been soaked with sweat and tears from my body.
Plopping onto my bed, I stare at my ceiling fan rotating quickly in swirls and endless circles. An endless cycle. It had no other movement and function than to spin and spin. It could only be controlled by a switch.
I smiled to myself noticing our similarities. I was just like a ceiling fan. No other purpose than to live. I just have to breathe and interact, not like I'm actually living anyways.
Probably the only difference between us was the mode of control. I didn't have a control switch. I just acted upon instinct, upon the need to.
"What do I do with my life?" I asked one last time to no one in particular before closing my eyes and drifting off into sleep.

By the time I woke up the next day, it was noon. My body ached painfully and my headache from yesterday had only seemed to worsen.I turned on my phone as I usually do in the mornings and checked my whatsapp messages.

I headed downstairs to the kitchen, wincing at the ache I felt at my lower back.
My breath caught in my throat as I set eyes on Kene in the kitchen. His back was to me as he stood shirtless, cooking up something as his defined muscles rippled through his arms.
