Chapter 10

Regina walks into Granny's with Emma slowly following behind her. She feels terrible, but she needs to make amends to Granny. Ruby comes from behind the counter and hugs her. "Emma your out, are you ok?"  "Ya. I'm fine Rubes. Is Granny around?  I'd really like to talk to you both". "She's in the kitchen. I'll go get her". A moment later they both walk over to Emma. "Hello Emma".  "Hi Granny. I came to apologize to you and Ruby. I never should have acted like I did. It was very immature, and I'm ashamed of myself. This is your place of business and I disrespected it and I also disrespect the both of you and I'm very sorry. I hope one day you can accept my apology and I hope I'll be welcomed back here again someday. Thank you for listening to me. I don't want to take up any more of your time". Emma turns around to Regina. "I'm gonna go now". She says before she starts to cry. They both begin to walk away. "Stop right there Emma Swan. Your not walking away from this". Granny says and Emma freezes. "Come back over here Emma". She does as she's told. "Thank you for your apology and I accept it. As far as you being welcomed back here again, Emma, you were never not welcomed here. I've known you for a very long time and you will always be like a grand child to me. You know what you did was wrong and your taking responsibility for it. So as far as I'm concerned lthat's all that needs to be said on this subject. Ok?"  Emma nods as tears fall from her eyes. Granny opens her arms and Emma goes right into them and they give each other a hug. "Ok. I have to get back to work now. Sit down and order something to eat". Emma nods and Granny walks back into the kitchen. Emma and Regina sit down and Ruby gives them the menus. "Are you ok now dear?"  "Yes, I think so. I really didn't expect her to be so forgiving".  "Well you heard her, your like a granddaughter to her. She loves you Emma".  They ordered dinner and spent a little more time with Granny and Ruby just making casual conversation. It was like the events of that day never happened and as far as Emma was concerned that was just fine with her. When it was time to leave, everyone hugged and Emma and Regina walk out to the car. "Regina can I stay with you tonight".  "My love. That is a question you never have to ask me. You are always welcome, I would actually prefer if you never left".  "What do you mean babe?"  "Emma I love you. I love having you with me all the time. I miss when you are not there and I hate sleeping in my bed without you". "Are you asking me to move in?"  "Maybe I am. Would you say yes?"  "Yes I would. I hate being without to". They both smile at each other. "So I'm moving in then". "Yup. Let's go home my love". "Let's go babe". The next morning since Emma didn't have a job to go to she decided that she would start packing up her apartment. It shouldn't take to long, the furniture came with the apartment so she's not taking that. It's just her clothes and her personal belongings. It took a little longer than she thought, and she also had to pack more than thought. She ended up only taking her clothes over to Regina's, then they both can figure out what to do with Emma's other stuff later. When Regina got home from work, Emma already had her clothes all put away and the boxes broken down to be recycled. Regina walks into the kitchen and finds Emma making dinner. "Well hello my love. What are you making?"  "Hi babe". Emma gives her a kiss. "I'm making Emma's famous mac & cheese mixed with sautéed chicken and broccoli". Regina chuckles a bit. "That certainly looks.....interesting my dear".   "Come on babe. Just give it a chance. I know it's not some fancy Italian dish, but it's got a pretty good taste to it. I promise if you don't like it, I'll throw it all away and make you the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich you ever had". Regina smiles and gives Emma a kiss. "I'm sure it will be wonderful my love. I'm going to go up and change. I'll be right back". She kisses Emma and leaves the kitchen. When she returns a few minutes later, Emma has just set down both plates of food on the kitchen island, and also puts down some toasted garlic bread. Emma even had 3 carnations in a small vase on the island. "Oh Emma. This is beautiful". She walks over and puts her arms around Emma. "I absolutely love the carnations, and you remembered red, pink and purple just like the first time you gave them to me. Thank you so much sweetheart".  "Your welcome baby. Let's eat ok". They both sat down and Emma watched as Regina took her first bite. It took a few seconds but Regina smiles. "Emma this is really good. There has so much flavor. Sometimes broccoli can water the taste down if not cook correctly, but this is wonderful".  Emma does a fist pump and starts eating, which makes Regina laugh. "So when I was upstairs I noticed you put your clothes away". Regina says with a smile. "Ya. I hope that's ok. Last night you said you made some room for me".  "It's perfectly fine dear. It made me happy to see your clothes next to mine. Do you have everything moved over here?"  "No. I left a few more boxes over at the apartment. I wasn't quite sure where you would want them to go and I didn't want them to just be piled up in the hallway". "Emma this is your home now too, you can put anything you want anywhere you want".  "Thanks babe, I thought we could figure where some of it should go together". "Sure my love. That would be nice". It only took 2 more days and Emma was all moved in with Regina.
