Chapter 15

Regina sighs and tosses her phone down on her desk. When Emma looks over at her, she's got her head down and seems sad. Emma gets up and walks to her. She kneels down and says. "What's wrong babe".  "It's nothing dear. I'm fine". Emma grabs her hand and kisses it. "I know your not ok sweetheart. Just tell me".  "Fine. It's my damn phone. It won't ring. Why isn't the doctor calling?"  "Babe it's not even noon, I'm sure she will call by the end of the day. She probably hasn't even gotten the results yet".  "I know. I just hate having to wait". Emma gives her a kiss. "Just try to relax". Regina nods and Emma walks back to her desk. At 2:30 on the dot Reginas phone started ringing. "It's the doctors office". Regina says as she answers her phone. "Hello?...... Yes. Hello doctor, thank you for calling". Emma listens closely to Regina's side of the conversation.  "Yes... Ok... Yes I understand". She says looking at Emma. "Oh, and did the retest show the same results?"  So you know for sure that,....  Ok. Yes". Regina starts to write something down on a piece of paper. "Ok. Yes. Thank you.... Thank you for calling doctor. You have a nice day as well. Goodbye". Regina ends the call and puts her phone down on the desk. Emma watches her release a deep breath. "Gina, babe. Is everything ok, what did she say?"  Regina stands and walks over to the couch in her office. "Please come sit with me my love". Emma gets up and quickly walks to her side. She kisses her and they both sit down and hold hands. Emma is so nervous about what Regina might say. "So the doctor apologized for not calling sooner, she wanted to retest a few things before passing on the information. She says everything with my exam came back fine and I should have no trouble conceiving a child. She also told me that your sperm count, although it is good still came back just a little below average, which may make it hard to conceive". Emma stands up quickly. "Shit. I'm sorry baby". Emma's not sure why she getting upset. She's never really thought of having a family before, but now that she's with Regina she wants everything. "Fuck. I'm sorry. I'll do what ever it takes babe. That's if you still want this me. I should have have known someone like me couldn't do anything normal". Emma says as she paces their office. Regina goes to her. "Emma please calm down and let me finish telling you what the doctor said".  "Regina. I don't know if I want to hear any more. She probably told you people like me shouldn't have kids anyway or you'd be better off without me". Regina gets pissed off now and raises her voice, she's almost yelling. "Damn it Emma Swan. Shut your damn mouth right now. I will not listen to you degrade yourself like this. You know you are so much better than all those words that just fell from your mouth. Now I want you to shut up, sit down and listen to me". Emma is shocked by Reginas tone of voice, but does as she is told. "Now. The tests she told me she wanted to redo was my blood test. It came back pregnant and so did the retest". Regina stopped speaking and Emma wasn't sure what to say. "Emma, I'm pregnant".  "You. So I. We. We made a baby?  Together?"  Regina laughs at Emma's mumbling. "Yes my love. You and I have made a baby. You are normal my love so please don't ever say anything like  what you said before. I love you and all our children will love you".  "Children. I like the sound of that babe. Wow. We're really gonna have a baby?"  "Yes my love". They share a happy kiss and hold each other in a tight hug. After holding each other quietly for a few moments, Emma pulls back a bit. "Regina, I'm not saying this because your pregnant, but can we get married?"  "My love, you already asked, and if you remember I did say yes". Emma chuckles a bit. "Know babe, but I'd really like to be married to you before our baby comes. It may seem old fashioned, but I feel the need to do the right thing with us. I really want you to be my wife Regina. I can't imagine anything without you. Please can we get married?"  A few tears fall from Reginas eyes. "Of course Emma. I would love that. How about we go do some ring shopping?"  Emma nods as a few tears also fall from her eyes. "Yup. Let's go babe, and then we can talk out all the details. I want you to have everything you want for our wedding. I love you so much and you deserve the best". She says as she gives Regina a kiss. They went out to the local jewelry shop and found a beautiful set of matching wedding bands. While Emma was paying for them, Regina excused herself to use the restroom. "Excuse me. Could I see that diamond ring right there?" Emma asks. The saleswoman takes out the ring. It's a beautiful princess cut diamond solitaire with three round cut diamonds on each side of the solitaire, along with six smaller diamonds on each side around the band. Emma loves it and would love to get it for Regina. The price tag on it is $ 2,700.00. Emma thinks for a moment. This will take a very large chunk out of her bank account, but it's beautiful and she knows Regina would love it. "I'll take it, but can you be discrete about it. I'd like it to be a surprise for my fiancé please".  "Not a problem at all". Emma hands over her card again and the woman scans it through the register. It came back quickly approved. The woman put the ring in a box and handed it and the card back to Emma, who quickly put them in her pocket. As she was signing he purchase slip, Regina came walking back. "Is everything ok dear?"  "Oh ya. It's all good. I just had to sign a new copy for the receipt. There was a paper jam or something". Regina looked at her with skepticism. "Ok. So are we all set then?"  "Yup. Let's go babe".  They thanked the saleswoman for all her help and the couple left the shop.
