Mor, Elain and I were arm in arm walking down the rainbow of Velaris, my ever-growing stomach hidden by a glamour. The summer months were beginning to cool, and wind swept through my air blessing my hot neck.

Ever since getting pregnant not only were my emotions wild, and eating habits unusual, but it was quite common for me to have hot and cold flashes apparently. They weren't bad most days, especially when I was inside the house and could easily cool or warm myself. But on walks such as these, I had to brace my hormones.

However, I couldn't be happier. Nesta, even though she stopped drinking and sleeping her life away, her mood never improved and stayed home. Even when I told her what we were going to do today. I sometimes wondered if she would ever adjust. While time has certainly helped Elian, even though she still mourned her human life, I fear no amount of time will help Nesta. Maybe this baby will. Maybe Cassian.

My hand travels to my stomach at the thought. "He or she kicking in there?" Mor asks drawing me out of my daze. Elian peers over from the other side of my arm and peers into my stomach as if she could see him and then back to my face, interested in the answer. "No, just thinking" I reply.

"Why are you so sure it's a boy Feyre"? Mor asks with Elain seconding the question. I smiled to myself; even as the memories of the jail came to my mind. An image that kept me sane while Rhys and I were trying. I rubbed my stomach in more soothing circles; I could feel him in there, growing. "Just a hunch" I said. They both nod, but I could tell they both knew there was more to the 'hunch' answer. "Are you excited for today?" Elain asks, joy written plainly on her face. I smile and nod eagerly. I really was excited. "Are you sure you want us to go with you? I mean Rhys is your mate and the father..." Mor adds making me snort.

"While he may be my mate and the father, Rhys has more important things to do than go baby shopping. Besides, he gets bored very easily and I doubt he would even know where to start. I'm sure he'll love whatever I get anyways." I say giggling a bit as I remember other times we have gone shopping. "I wouldn't be surprised if he bought something that wasn't even for a baby, I don't think he has much experience in that department, well neither do I, I guess." Panic starts to seep In.

"Hey, you're going to be fine. You and Rhys are going to be great parents. And we'll be here to help with whatever you need." Elian adds sweetly making me calm down. "While I agree with Elain, I hope you're not expecting us to babysit." I elbow Mor in the ribs causing her to let out a little yelp followed by a laugh. "I'm joking, I'm joking." I join her in laughing.

We turn the corner of an alley to find the small baby shop between two larger stores. It looked clean and well updated, I could see however that many things such as roof tiles and floorboards were replaced. This store was probably hit by the attack.

I shake of the memory as we walk into the store and I am quickly overwhelmed with the amount of baby supplies. Who knew there were so many types of the same thing? 5 different colored baby bottles. 10 different styles of blankets. 15 different styles of baby seats...... I would have hyperventilated if it wasn't for the store owner popping in front of my face and bowing.

"High lady, it's a pleasure." The woman was old enough to have grey strands in her hair and wrinkles around her eyes. I smiled and quickly thanked her. "Here for yourself? Or for one of you two beautiful ladies?" Blushes crept along all of our cheeks. "A gift I'm afraid, for another." The woman accepted my lie with no hesitation and my heart broke a little. I hated lying to my people, but it was for the protection of my baby. It was hard to refrain placing a hand over my stomach. An instinct so common now.

"Very well, anything I could help you with in particular?" She asks leading us through the many rows of supplies. "Well we'd like to buy everything and anything one would need for a baby." At this she sounded confused. "You see the gift is for someone with very little, so I've decided to help." She smiles "how very generous of you High lady." "Please, call me Feyre." "Very well. Then In that case, we should start over here."

5 hours later we stood at the counter waiting for the owner to count everything up and sign the receipt. It was agreed that in 4 months everything would be sent to the house. "I hate lying" Mor whispers into my ear. Elain, standing close nods her head in agreement. I glance to the owner for any indication she heard but she continues to add up the total.

I sigh and whisper back to them "I know, but the boys are right, it's too dangerous if others new this early." I pause thinking about what I just said. "If any of you tell those Illyrian babies I said that their right I will kick both of your asses even 4 months pregnant." They laughed and threw up their hands in defeat and I giggled at that.

Sorry Feyre darling, but I heard everything and just informed the boys of your lovely complement. They would like to hear you say it to their face, but they know that's not likely to happen

A small growl escapes my lips and Mor in Elaine look at me in

Confusion. "Rhys heard" I say sounding utterly defeated and they both lose it. The owner looks up at us and then quickly continues working.

Prick

Cruel beautiful woman

I smile and just as I was about to respond the owner speaks "finally done, sorry about the wait." She says with an exhausted smile. "It's no problem at all" I reply.

"Here you go" the owner slides the recipe along with ink and pen. I look down to the paper and my heart almost stops beating all together. That was a very large sum of money. I turn to Elian and Mor. Mor looks unfazed with the amount but Elain being grown up like me, her eyes widen significantly. I know we could afford it. We could afford 1,000 times this amount and still be well off, it doesn't mean I like spending it though when it could be spent for better use. I guess our baby is a better use.

I quickly sign it and after a few words we leave the store and make our way back to the house

Just got back, when are you coming home?

I could practically feel his pout over the bond.

I'll be back home soon busybody

He chuckles

Find anything you liked?

Yes, in fact, I'll show you when we get home. I couldn't have done it without Elain or Mor.

It was true, without them I would have been so hopelessly lost and may have just bought the whole store. Who new deciding what color blanket to get would be so difficult?

Well they are helpful sometimes

Just sometimes? I ask clearly annoyed.

He chuckles again. He was in a mood I was quickly getting annoyed with. However, I couldn't stop smiling

Isn't that all you girls are good for?

You know what? I think I'll sleep over in Mors room tonight. Maybe she'll brush my hair and we'll talk about pretty clothes and jewelry since that's all we are good for. In fact, I don't feel like telling you anything anymore.

He was clearly amused

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. He was laughing, actually laughing.

Forgive me? I'll make it up to you in bed tonight.

My toes curled at the thought

Very well

To easy

Don't push it

I KNOW! It's been too long. I'm sorry. But it's been so crazy lately with college trips and SATs and ACTs I feel like I'm drowning. It's going to start getting really good from here guys. Again sorry for the wait.
