Cassian's POV:

I'm sitting in a chair across of a pacing Rhys and Feyre, lounged in Rhys desk chair. Mor sits in the chair next to me, her feet hanging off the sides and Az stays in the front corner of the room. Behind Rhys and Feyre. Amren suggested staying at her apartment to try and figure out more information but when Az and I finally cornered Rhys to tell him the information Rhys called her over for the meeting. So there she was leaning next to the door like she could bolt any second now.

Feyre's sisters stayed at home watching Gawain, they claimed they wanted no part in this. I only saw Nesta for a second on my way out. No way for me to ask her on a date. I'll have to figure out a good time. I almost groaned at the thought of having more to do.

Feyre and Rhys seemed to have made up. It took Az and I hours for us to find him after they left. When they finally came strolling through the streets of Velaris, Feyre was leaning on Rhys and his arm was wrapped around her. Not that they are any of my business but when they fight it makes everything, I don't know, weird?

Feyre looks up at Rhys with a concerned expression and it isn't long before he meets her face, nods and turns to us. "What if we set some sort of trap in the woods- ""it won't work." Az cuts him off. "The area would be too wide, and we have yet to pinpoint the rebel's location." He furrowed his brows and continued pacing.

"When was the last one reported in the patrols?" "One and a half month ago." I reply. "They didn't bother to report it!?" He asks. I shook my head. "We are short a bookkeeper in most camps so one person from each patrol watch is writing down the information from the day. I doubt it would have even occurred to them to check those sorts of stuff. It even took me a while to dig through their reports and connect it." He scowled but said nothing.

It was Feyre's turn to talk now as Rhys finally sat down on the couch against the far wall. Probably from Feyre's nagging, glad she did because it was giving me a headache. "Mor would it be appropriate for us to visit again?" She shook her head. "The last visit was suspicious enough, the only way I could think of us going was if you two were to drop off G at the camps...." she trailed off obviously not wanting to say more on the subject seeing already the conflict between them. I could tell Mor did not want to say that suggestion, but it had to be done.

Both of them tensed and utterly froze. Feyre looked up to us and opened her mouth but quickly shut it. She turned to Rhys and he gave a small nod, no. His answer was clear, but she went against it anyways. "Fine. Rhys and I will figure out the details later. Schedule it for a week from now. Plenty of time to get announcements across the camps- ""Feyre" Rhys tried to no response. "And plenty of time to prepare everything." "Feyre!"

"What Rhys!? Isn't this what you wanted?" He shook his head. "Not like this Feyre. You know that." Both their eyes softened, and she blew out a breath, sitting in the chair again.

"As much as I hate to use my son as an excuse to go, it's what needs to be done. Cassian if Rhys and I do decide to leave him there it's going to be different. I assume you already had an idea in mind?" I shook my head and that was all the confirmation she needed as of right now. "Perfect I can hear about it later."

A sliver of silence passed between us and I was about to say what was on my mind but Mor beat me to it, somehow saying exactly what I wanted to say. "Feyre, Rhys said something earlier about your mark. Would you like to elaborate on that?" Rhys grimaced, actually grimaced and Feyre gave him a look that would have sent lesser men running. "I was just worried, no, concerned, and interested that like with the book, I would be connected to this somehow. I wanted to see if I could use it to track them or something at least. And I want I make sure they couldn't use it as leverage against me, or any of you."

"You should have come to me girl. Amren said, speaking for the first time this meeting. "I could have told you that both were ridiculous." Feyre blushed a little in embarrassment but nodded in thanks all the same. With that and a couple other things addressed on the agenda Az pulled out, making all of us laugh, the meeting finished and by the time I was walking out the door I was already thinking on how to plan a lavish date, assuming Nesta says yes. I sighed and shot into the air.

Feyre's pov:

Rhys was pushing Gawain in his stroller along the streets of Velaris. I don't think I could ever get sick of the view at night. I lean in closer to Rhys as we walk and after a while I talk down the bond.

I'm sorry I snapped at you in the meeting.

His eyes shot down to me but quickly looked ahead again to scan the road for any dangers facing G. I smiled a little, still so defensive.

Again, you don't have to apologize.

I know. But I want to.

He smiled and kissed the top of my head.

You lied to them today.

I made a face between a scowl and a grimace, but none of us missed a step. To anyone else in the streets it would look like their high lady and lord were having a stroll on the streets with G.

Did you see the look on their faces? I can't bare to tell them Rhys.

He nodded telling me he understood. I had to resist the urge to look at my irritated mark under my collar. It was the same size, but it itched, a lot. Madja said it was nothing to worry about, but I think it's a prediction, as to what will soon be coming. And I believe that as it gets closer the itching will only worsen.

Rhys wrapped his arm around me and snuggled me close. "Well our family can have at least one more peaceful night before all hell breaks loose right? "I sighed and nodded. "What about G and the camp?" "Tomorrow. Tonight, we spend under the stars." I kissed him this time. My mate through the good and the bad. My mate whom I love with every piece of my heart. I slowly pulled away and whispered onto his lips. "Ok. But tomorrow night, your mine." His grin echoed my own.
