Chapter 3: Dangerous

It's been a few days since Jack talked to Elsa, the words that Amber told him kept repeating in his head. He didn't want her to get hurt or worse. He even started to skip class because he didn't want to run into her. But he couldn't help but look at his phone, to look at her number which he put as "Do Not Call." He was at the stables now with Luna, just looking at his phone, at her number. "Should I call her?" Jack asked as he looked at his horse who was just eating the grass close by. "I mean, if I call her... I can have that... Pain that makes me feel... something. But if I don't call her.... she might stay safe." He moves his fingers through his hair, "To be selfish or to keep a girl alive, why are those my choices?" Jack asked Luna as she moved her head close to his. He knew that his horse couldn't understand him, but he liked to pretend that she did.

He looked at the sky to see it getting dark, "Well.. Time to go do my normal thing. Get drunk and take a random girl home... God is this really my life?" Jack asked himself, he was never like this before... He use to only drink wine when it was party, he only wanted Bella, now he drinks whatever he can get and sleeps with anything that has a pulse, why? All his had in his life for years was Amber and Luna, and Luna couldn't talk to him, to tell him something good would come from this and Amber... Amber did this to him, to make him feel... Lonely.

He sighs as he jumped on Luna's back, "Alright girl, let's get you home."

That night Jack went to the only bar he would drink at, The Horseman, he hated the name but he couldn't help but like the drinks and atmosphere. The night air was just getting colder by the hour but he didn't mind, the cold was comfort to him, made him think when time was more simpler before he was cursed. The minute he stepped into the bar, he frozen when he saw a blonde beauty at the bar. Elsa was sitting at the bar when she heard the door open and the cold air hitting the back of her neck. She even felt a shiver go up her spine, but it wasn't form the cold, it was from the person who walked in.

Jack quickly turned his back, just about to leave. "You know, if you leave now..." Jack heard making his breath catch and make him turn back to Elsa as she put her glass down. "I would think you're really trying to avoid me." She continued as she looked back at Jack having his eyes locked on hers. "I... I'm not..." He started but he could tell on her face, she knew he was lying. He sighed and walked over to her taking the sit next to him. "Okay... I'm avoiding you..." Jack answered as he tapped the bar making the bartender look over at him. "The usually?" He ask making Jack nod, "Thanks Bobby." Jack called as Bobby walked off to make him his drink. "So I'm guessing you come here a lot huh?" Elsa asked. "It's a small town... Not much to do."

Jack's drink came over to him as he held it up to Elsa, "to one last drink." Jack said taking a drink making her raise an eyebrow, "One last drink?" She ask. Jack didn't know how to say it to Elsa, he knew he was going to hurt her one way or another. "I think tonight, should be the last time we talk to each other." Jack says making Elsa take a drink, "Really? And what happened the other day?" He knew she was going to bring that up. "What happened the other day was a mistake, I'm a player, a heartbreaker... People say I have no heart." Jack answered as he takes a drink. Feeling the cold beer going down his throat, it was like he didn't even feel a buzz coming anymore.

"I don't believe that." Elsa says smiling a little. "You don't know me..." Jack answer making her shrug, "Yeah, you're right I don't. But... For some odd reason, I feel like I should get to know you." She says tapping her fingers on the bar making Bobby look. "Same drink Ma'am?" Bobby ask making her shake her head, "Rum and coke please." She answer making Bobby nod before he walked away. "Sounds like you're trying to get drunk." Jack answered. Trust be told, Elsa was trying to get drunk, she hasn't slept well since she meet Jack, she's been having weird dreams, some were beautiful but others... kept her up all night. She look down at Jack's hand to see the ring on his finger. "What to explain that weird ring?" She ask making Jack look down.
