Devising A Plan

You arrived back at your dorm around 11 o'clock and you felt like you floated the entire way. Jungkook had walked with you to your door, and stood with his hands in his pockets, grinning at you. He leaned forward a bit and whispered "I really want to kiss you goodnight."

"I really want you to, but it's too risky." you whispered back.

Both of your companies had strict policies against dating. Breaking this rule could mean punishment ranging from a stern lecture, to having your phone taken away, to being suspended from appearances and tours. It was always best to keep your nose clean, or at least make it appear that way. You had already taken a huge gamble by kissing in a public place, luckily it was secluded and dark. Nonetheless it was very risky and you knew it. So, kissing on the street, in front of a building covered in security cameras, was definitely not going to happen.

"I can give you one next time." you said softly, trying your best to hide the grin on your face.

"You want to see me again?" Jungkook said excitedly, as you put your finger to your lips and hushed him "I want to see you, too, Y/N." his voice dropped back down to a whisper.

"I have to go inside, now, but I'll text you later, okay?" you smiled.

"Promise?"

"Cross my heart, Kookie."

He gave you one final grin and walked backward, watching you fade farther away. He turned to face forward and looked back over his shoulder once more, before disappearing around the corner of the building.

You walked through the door and had almost made it to the staircase when you heard a voice call out to you.

"Y/N-ah!" Rin shouted as she walked briskly toward you, making you jump. Where have you been? It's very late."

"I went to a movie." you said stone faced.

"Alone?"

"Yes." you answered as you saw Rae-Shi sauntering down the stairs, effectively trapping you between them in the vestibule.

"If you went to a movie alone, why was Jeon Jungkook with you?" Rae-Shi raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest.

"He passed me walking and offered to see me home." Both girls cast doubtful looks at each other then at you "What kind of gentleman would he be if he saw a girl, walking alone at night, and didn't escort her safely to her door?"

"Just make sure you're careful." Rin warned "If you do anything stupid and get our comeback delayed, I'll make you wish you'd never left the states."

"We've worked our asses off for this, Y/N" Rae-Shi said, taking a step toward you, her tone ominous and dark "Do. Not. Blow it. Do you understand?"

"They're just jealous, Y/N." Yeye called out from the top of the stairs. "We all wish Jungkook would walk us home." You gave her a thankful smile. "It's getting pretty late, ladies. Why don't we all call it a night? We have a full day ahead of us tomorrow. MAMAs are only 3 weeks away."

"Exactly!" Rae-Shi half shouted "We should be practicing every minute, not walking the streets at night with men! We've been in the studio for hours, and she's been to the movies, or...wherever!"

"Y/N learned her choreography, Rae-Shi. She didn't have to stay." Yeye said factually "Those have always been the rules. You get to leave when you learn your steps. If you'd learned your steps faster, you could have gone to a movie, too"

"Yeye, come on." Rin huffed "We all know she wasn't at the movies! God only knows what she was actually doing but I guarantee it wasn't innocent. She's lying to all of us and you're letting her get away with it!"
